It's not really terrible as it is but if this is how the draft played out and after watching what the falcons D-line has done so far.
This would be my 1st 3 picks
1st - Jonathon Jenkins DT - We need a run stuffer and a mean one at that. Our biggest flaw right now is stopping the run and the home town Jenkins would do that and then some to help the rest of our line.
2nd - John Simon DE - Here is that DE you was looking at that could help us out i like jeffcoat too but jenkins is better value at a more needed position imo. Simon is great value here as well.
3rd - nothing wrong with this pick here to me michael is a nice looking kid at RB. With this draft i would look at FA for TE or the next pick for sure or RB in FA and TE here would be fine as well. _________________

Absolutely not to Matt Barkley for Cleveland.
I'd rather trade the pick at that point. _________________

| This would be a terrible draft for the Vikings. Why would we draft Robert Woods who is small and doesn't run deep routes? Justin Hunter is a way better prospect, turn on the game film. Shawn Williams is terrible and slow, so that's a stupid pick. Williams wouldn't be a 2nd string player. The next two picks are just terrible. |

Panthers wouldn't pass on Star for a receiver in round 1. An OL in either the 2nd or the 4th would be fine, but both would be overkill. I'd change the 4th round pick to a free safety or a receiver. _________________

Not a fan from a Vikings perspective.
IMO a better draft would be
1st – Reid
2nd – Short
3rd – Reddick
4th - Hamilton _________________

You don't have the Bears fourth round pick in there. _________________

2 CBs for the Jets in the first 4 rounds? Why? I'm severely confused. _________________

Travis Frederick is the pick in the fourth for Indy. Lotulelei is a better pick of we're going DT, because he fits so well at DE for us. Hankins just isn't a good fit for our scheme. I'd prefer Montgomery anyway. _________________

Soooooo, Oakland has a scrubby free agent RT and you draft two OLB's for us? We have a collection of cast-off CB's and we take two OLB's??? Wow, that's an epic fail. _________________

I think he thought you were the Raiders. I will trade you the two CB's for the two OLB's he drafted for us. _________________

1st pick looks good.
2nd pick I'd probably say either the best G available, or Dion Jordan.
3rd Pick I'd probably say Ball or the best WR available
4th pick, if it were to be a DB, it would be Matieu |

Just a pitiful job drafting for the Vikings.
Real Vikings Draft
1st- Star Lotulelei, NT, Utah- bring in some youth to develop under Kevin Williams. Star has the most potential out of and DT in this year's draft class.
2nd- Da'Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech- Viking's land one of the most talented WR in this year's draft class. Rogers is a big-bodied receiver who can run every route and would instantly provide a true #1 WR for Ponder.
3rd- Michael Mauti, ILB, Penn State- Brinkley has been decent but Vikings need a MLB who can stuff the run and drop in coverage, Mauti is that guy. He plays the game with a great passion and would be an immediate impact.
4th- Travis Frederick, G, Wisconsin- Vikings Gs aren't playing well and it is really effecting Ponder's progression. Frederick is freakishly strong and would help anchor the interior line.
4th Pick from Detroit- Devin Taylor, DE, South Carolina- Long lengthy De kind of reminds me of...dont say it...JARED freaking ALLEN. |
