Awful news,
Thoughts are with Defoe and his family after their loss. _________________

"Until misfortune intervened, manager Roy Hodgson's plan was to reunite three of Chelsea's first-choice back four."- Martin Samuels
I wasn't aware either David Luiz or Branislav Ivanovic were English.... _________________

Terry, Cahill, Cole.
Pretty self explanatory. _________________

It was pretty clear that Cahill isn't our first choice centerback, Luiz is. Although it really should be Luiz and Cahill and Terry should be the one getting dropped.
So my point remains, England were never going to use 3 of our first choice back players. _________________

Umm the fact that when Luiz was healthy he was the first choice every time? _________________

According to Wenger, he thinks Jack Wilshere should be ready for England's qualifier against San Marino should Roy Hodgson call him up, but admits there's been no contact yet probably out of respect for his rehabilitation.
He's featuring for the U21's against West Brom on Monday. _________________

I think a call up for the San Marino game would be perfect for easing him back into the game. Its technically "competitive" but you won't find much poorer teams in League One. _________________

Carl Jenkinson trained with the England squad today, but apparently due to FA paperwork issues he couldn't be called up for the match against Poland.
He's expected to earn a call-up next break, which doesn't surprise me too much given his performances this season. Glad he's apparently chosen England. Hodgson was scouting him at the Arsenal/Olympiacos match 2 weeks ago. _________________

League One?
Seriously? They have one Professional in the country and he plays 4th division in Italy. They are amateurs. _________________

Yeah it's a waste of time for them to be in the group stages of this automatically. They should have some kind of qualifying for the lower teams such as them, Andorra, Armenia, Faroe Islands etc. _________________

Armenia are actually decent. Mkhitaryan is looking like a real rising star. Agree with your premise though. _________________
