If anyone sees any mistakes or has any suggestions to update the op let me know.
Also, if anyone has any catchy, funny, etc. ideas for the thread title let me know. I wanted to go with "Awaiting Drummond's Debut" but it was too long. _________________

How has Khris Middleton looked in preseason so far? I'm a big fan and think he can do some things off the bench offensively. _________________

Really not much IMO.
But with a thin roster of talent he may get minutes. _________________

That's a shame. Hopefully he gets a little run. He's got a smooth offensive game, so hopefully he shows that when he gets an opportunity. _________________

I would rather they trade off vets and play all the kids. Its not going to be a winning year anyhow. _________________

What are you guys hoping for this year? Last year I was on the let's tank bandwagon for obvious reasons, but this year I'm a little more torn.
Also, hope there's a decent crowd Wednesday. Any word on if it looks to be a sellout? _________________

I want to see development from Knight, Monroe, and Drummond (and the other young guys). That is my biggest concern/desire this year. As long as those guys are developing I am not overly concerned with lottery/8th seed this year.
Looking forward to getting Maggette/CV/Maxiell (though I like Maxiell a lot, always have dating back to his days at Cincy) and any of the other bad contracts off the team in the offseason.
I doubt it would be a sellout, though that is just a guess. _________________

Crowd was chanting something along the lines of "we want Drummond" in the final preseason game. Hopefully Frank listens. Starting Maxiell is just a terrible idea. You have a 7 foot freak, use him.
As for want I want to see. Progression from Knight. I want to see him become a better distributor and limit his turnovers. I'd also like to see him finish stronger around the rim. Monroe, I want to see him add a consistent jump shot to his game and get a little scrappier. Sometimes it seems like he's afraid of contact...
Those 2 have to progress if we want a shot at the Playoffs. If they do, I think there's a real shot at the 8 seed. _________________

Disagree. Fans should never dictate who starts or gets minutes. Maxiell has done pretty well as a starter. I have no problem with Drummond coming off the bench to start the season so he can transition a bit and get used to the rigors of the NBA. Him being on 2nd team also allows him to get more offensive touches to develop his offensive game more. _________________

I want to see progression from the guys as they learn how to play with one another in Frank's system. Just as important I would like to see them play hard all the time. I can take losing but I cannot take a lackadaisical effort.
After this year Hamilton, Maxiell, Bynum, and Maggette will be off the books. Daye's might not get a qualifying offer. Charlie V has a player option for $8.5 million (yuck) that he would be a fool not to exercise. All in all it could make for an interesting off-season for 2013-2014. |

I say play him. Honestly they are not winning crap this year. Give the kid the minutes and play for that lottery pick and have a stellar core moving forward. _________________

| I say let Frank make that decision. Drummond is really young and the NBA game can be complex. No need to discourage the guy right out of the gate. |
