Ya know, it's a high price to pay, and tho too high, imo, I could see it after what you said.

Yea, it definitely is a high price but I think the stability it'll add to my OL will make it worth it. The Rams have neglected helping Bradford out for too long. In this mock, I want to focus on adding some pieces to stabilize the offense and give Bradford the help he deserves.

I really thought they had two already in place with Smith and Saffold. I liked both of them coming out of college, expecially Saffold. Guess this is why I'm not a scout or GM. Laughing

Smith didn't have the desire or toughness. Not something you can see well on film.

Saffold looked elite against SF in his return. His issue has been health. It's mainly why I made the move. Saffold's issue isn't play. Boudreau worked with him a lot on improving his anchor and defense against the bull rush and it's worked wonders thus far. He's always been a good run blocker too. So he should be excellent on the right-side, it's just hard to keep a guy at LT who you can't trust to stay healthy.

Yep.

At the time I thought STL had really set themselves up for the future. Two "solid OTs" already in place and a solid QB coming in who wouldn't have to worry about the pass rush coming of the edges.

We all hoped but being a Rams fan, you're used to disappointment. Laughing Crying or Very sad

Laughing You're preaching to the choir of disappointment. Our owner would kill for a championship, yet won't get out of his own way.

Cowboys Trade Block

Anthony Spencer - 2nd rd value
* You won't find a better 34 OLB on the market. Plays pass and run very well. I believe he could do equally well as a 43 DE.
Only reason I've got him on market is I think Dallas will have a hard time retaining him this off season.

Gerald Sensabaugh - 4th/5th rd
* Sensy is an OK safety, he can step in and start at any time. We're just looking to get younger in the secondary.

Felix Jones - 5th rd
* Decent backup/spot starter. With Blount and a pair of youngsters in fold, Jones is odd man out.

Victor Butler - 6th rd
* Decent backup/situational 34 OLB. Butler is a good pass rusher.

Marcus Spears - 6th rd
* Could play 34DE or 43DT.

I have a few offers in place for DE Charles Johnson. Valued at around an early 3rd. But also willing to negotiate.

DeAngelo Williams is also on the block as well.

Panthers needs:

Something different. But Carolina needed a CB, I believe its fair value. Also, allows 3rd round pick last year Frank Alexander to show what he can do.

John Fox is a happy man

This was a big move for the Broncos. John Fox is thrilled to have his boy Charles Johnson back on his team. The Broncos pass rush was already lethal, but will now have Elvis Dumervil, Von Miller, and Charles Johnson getting after the quarterback. As a result of this acquisition 2012 2nd round pick Derek Wolfe will move from left Defensive End inside to Defensive Tackle where he is a more natural fit. This improves our pass rush from the inside which hasn't been the best over the last few years. Since the arrival of Peyton Manning the Broncos have been playing with a lot more leads, so opposing quarterbacks are throwing more. Wolfe moving inside should improve the DL's ability to collapse the pocket as pressure comes from the outside from Von Miller, Elvis Dumervil and now Charles Johnson. The Broncos are thrilled to have a trio of 10+ sack pass rushers, and hope to create a pass rush similar to the ones that have helped the Giants earn a couple Super Bowls.

Tracy Porter will be missed, but the Broncos had 4 cornerbacks who have started this year, and all have played at a high level. With a surplus like that, it was OK for us to move one cornerback, as we've seen over the last few weeks there isn't a drop off from Tracy Porter to Tony Carter on the outside opposite Champ Bailey. Chris Harris remains inside covering slot receivers, as he's one of the leagues elite at this. Omar Bolden will see more time in dime packages, and the front office loves this rookies upside, so we don't feel we drop off at all in the secondary, yet get drastically better as a pass rushing, and run stopping unit up front.

TRADE

Broncos give:
LB Nate Irving
TE Julius Thomas

Bears give:
Pierre Garcon
6th round pick (from SEA)

Agreed.

While it hurt to see a couple of young, high upside players go, Pierre Garcon has chemistry with Peyton Manning from their days together in Indy, and makes this offense even better. Garcon has won a Super Bowl with Manning, and though Brandon Stokley has played much better than expected this year, its important the Broncos get younger at receiver (aside from Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker). With Thomas, Decker, and now Garcon the Broncos have one of the best 3 WR sets in the NFL.

I'm a big Nate Irving fan, and although he hasn't seen significant playing time, he's shown flashes. I think the Bears are getting a guy who will develop into a pretty good linebacker. Julius Thomas needs to get more physical, but his pass catching upside is certainly there, and if he does adapt to the physical nature of football, he can be a big time contributor at tight end.

Broncos are looking for help at MLB and RB.

PM me if you have starting caliber MLB you're willing to let go.
Looking for a RB to lighten McGahee's load.

Broncos trade block:

DJ Williams LB - Very good player whose played every lb position at a high level. Has just worn out his welcome here in Denver (at least in this fans eyes he has). 5th

Joe Mays MLB - Great fit in the 3-4 defense as a downhill run stuffer. Mays is your typical thumper, plays with a lot of intensity, and lays people out. Very good against the run, and gets the rest of his teammates pumped on the field with the way he plays. 4th

Mike Adams FS - A big part of Denvers improved secondary this year. Adams is smart in coverage and knows his role. Good role model as well, give a lot of credit to Adams for Rahim Moore's turnaround this year (he was atrocious last year). Good at covering the new breed of freak athlete TE's too, and every team wants a guy who can do that. 5th
