jarvis jones or chance warmack?
at #2 these guys are BPA in my opinion. im not sold on Star, Mingo may be to raw, and its way to high to take Milliner who would be my top choice.
just throwing it out there for debate _________________

Warmack probably not worth the selection there.
And I know this may sound CRAZY but I think we fall a few spots in the draft order. Which would be great because 1) winning seems like a unicorn at this point and 2) value matches up better around 4-7 than at 2.
We have Texans, Titans, Bills, Jets, Dolphins, Patriots, Titans left. Only the Texans and Patriots are good teams. _________________

All of those teams are better than us though. Yea, any given Sunday though. _________________

In this mock I have the Jaguars trading down with the Rams. Getting their two first round picks, and a 4TH.
Round 1 - Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
Round 2 - Chase Thomas, OLB, Stanford
Round 3 - Logan Ryan, CB, Rutgers
Round 4 - Joseph Fauria, TE, UCLA
Round 5 - Rex Burkhead, RB, Nebraska
Round 6 - John Boyett, FS, Oregon
Round 7 - T.J. More, WR, Missouri |

I have to be and am the only one in my little draft circle that is loving all of the "can't miss" and this years risers fall flat this year in the Quarterbacking ranks...Not happy for them, I am happy for a team like ours who "needs" a Quarterback (although ours will do 3ooo and 2:1 TD:INT) and there will just not be one there to take. Its down to Geno Smith (who is showing some regression and antsy pocket mechanics) and Tyler Wilson, who has the arm, just don't know if he will check out medically (concussions).
What this means is, some team (hopefully ours) finds a Defender worth a top-3 pick and go with them, otherwise, hop some other team does and trade out. Right now, rumor is we are looking at a mid-round replacement for Henne, with the potential to trade off later (assuming Blaine progresses and we don't start over in 2014).
Of course, all of this is moot if Gene Smith and Co. is fired like it is rumored to be. _________________

If Gene is willing to trade Gabbert, there's no reason for the new regime to not look for offers. _________________

Why would we?
since when is 3000 yards and a 2:1 ratio a bad thing? _________________

and perhaps even more importantly...
Who on earth would trade anything of equal value for what we spent on the kid? I mean, he hasn't totally 'busted' yet, it would be fairly silly to ship him off for anything less than a solid 1st round pick. But who would ever send us a good 1st round pick for him right now? |

I like the sounds of this rumour a lot. It feels like the best bet for this organization right now, to take a flyer on a mid-round QB who can sit while we evaluate Gabbert for his 3rd year.
We get solid players at other positions of need in the 1st and 2nd round, and at worst if both Gabbert and the new QB busts hard, we've invested what...a 3rd rounder on the new guy? And we'll probably be bad enough to regroup for 2014 draft, and be in the hunt for a guy like Teddy Bridgewater who looks like the real deal franchise QB solution? Sounds like a winning set of situations to me. |

Misread the rumor IAS posted, thought he meant we are looking to trade Gabbert too. _________________
