Not surprised. He's been invisible this year. From what I remember, he was barely on the field. I'd be shocked if he had more than 10 catches this year. _________________ Come Follow The Great NSFL!

Can he still block?
Pats could use a blocking TE in Gronk's absence.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Shiancoe cut to bring Bolden back in. He's been a healthy scratch for the past two weeks and it looks like Fells has distinguished himself as our #3 TE. |

I didn't even know he was on the Cardinals. What happened to him after he left Baltimore? _________________

Whisenhunt made a negative comment a few weeks back suggesting that we had some players that were unwilling to play through minor injuries. Most of us agreed that he was talking about Heap, who got injured in the Pats game and had not played since.
Heap seemed content with just standing on the sidelines with a backwards hat on, colecting his check, while nursing a in-grown toe nail injury...so he was sent packing.
should have been done weeks ago. _________________

The Ravens released him a couple years ago and he signed with the Cardinals. Upon arriving in Arizona, he actually missed more games than he played so it looks like injury and age have both combined to bring his career to a slow end. Was very unproductive (due largely in part to not playing at all) in Arizona and this is where we stand with him today. It's hard to believe he'll find a new team. |

Bolden is already on the roster, why would they need to cut someone? |

Thought they got a roster exemption or something? _________________

And he's back from suspension and the team has an extra roster spot. The put Edelman on IR and cut Mitch Petrus. One of those spots is for Stallworth, one is for Bolden.
Edit: and if they need to dump another player, James Develin would go well before Shiancoe |

So, what was the Cards reasoning for dropping Heap with still a decent amount of games left in this season? I don't ever remember hearing that Heap was a bad locker room guy, so the only answer left really is that its due to his play. Cards fans, is he simply just washed up due to old age now.. or is there something else going on? _________________
