Percy Harvin done for the season after an ankle injury against Seattle in week 9. Big blow for this Vikings team looking to make the playoffs.

Yeah, Vikings have already beat most peoples win projections by 3. With that said, this sucks in terms of development and evaluating Ponder. Harvin is probably one of two WR's (maybe 3) on the Vikings who deserve to be on an NFL roster, and the other two Jarius Wright and Jerome Simpson should be #4 & #5 at best on an NFL roster. _________________

Is ponder still the future? looked good at times but struggled mightily as well. What do you think - they'll give him one more year? |

I think they give him another year, especially if the GM/Coach is not fired. _________________

They have to, what alternative is there really? The Vikings will be picking in that dreaded 15-18 range, there usually arent QBs taken in that spot and it doesnt seem like a good class.
Competition could be brought in like a veteran (Alex Smith/Matt Flynn), but I would be shocked if the Vikings took another QB at pick 15-18. I dont even see a QB that I would consider selling the farm for, which still doesnt resolve the issues at WR, OG, NT, and MLB. |

Agreed - I wasn't suggesting they should draft another QB, just wanted here some opinions of Vikings fans on ponder. |

Percy Harvin is overrated because he could get injured. _________________ Reggie Wayne for HOF

Sucks, I like Percy but I feel a sense of relief that the Rams won't have to face him. _________________

Well the Texans don't have to worry about getting juked by Harvin. Now they just have to worry about getting juked and possibly trucked by Peterson. _________________

Question is how much $$$$ is he gonna get and we'll he stay in MN.
Or will this be another Rice situation, Where a team places a high
tag on him.. Intewassssting!! _________________

Not a chance he leaves Minnesota if you ask me. Rice was let go because during his time here if you push him something breaks. The only year he was healthy was 09 when Favre was here.
Percy has been our passing game we've seen what it's reduced to when he's gone. Not a chance. _________________
