FRONT OFFICES & COACHING STAFFS:
General Managers Not Retained:
Arizona: Rod Graves
Carolina: Marty Hurney
Jacksonville: Gene Smith
Kansas City: Scott Pioli
San Diego: A.J. Smith
General Managers Hired:
Arizona: Jason Licht
Up and coming you talent evaluator who interviewed for the Bears job last offseason. Rod Graves get a Pink Slip after Ownership comes to the realization that the Kolb acquisition failed. Whisenhunt did not push for the move, as he's always wanted to implement a vertical passing game in Arizona and Kolb was a WC QB. Licht is already in the Arizona FO and his extensive experience with multiple well-run franchises makes him the ideal replacement for Rod Grave.s
Carolina: Tom Gamble
Former Giants General Manager Ernie Accorsi is assisting the Richardson's with the GM search. Gamble, a graduate of High Point University, comes back to Carolina after a successful tenure in San Francisco.
Jacksonville: Bill Polian
Polian is a veteran talent evaluator with tremendous experience building Franchises from the ground up. Shahid Khan bought the Jaguars and in a puzzling move instantly gave GM Gene Smith a contract extension. He changes course and hires Polian, who will begin to overhaul the roster.
Kansas City: Lake Dawson
Former Chiefs WR is the ideal candidate to replace Scott Pioli. I do not feel Pioli deserves to be let go, as I feel he's upgraded the roster and locked in the cornerstone players to longterm deals in a prudent manner. However, Clark Hunt senses a fan revolt emerging and decides to change course.
San Diego: John Spanos Jr
A.J. Smith is out and the son of the Owner and current Director of College Scouting takes the reigns. Reeks of Nepotism, but A.J. Smith & Norv Turner are not longer viable options.
Head Coaches Not Retained:
Carolina: Ron Rivera
Cleveland: Pat Shurmur
Dallas: Jason Garrett
Kansas City: Romeo Crennel
New Orleans: Sean Payton (Extension Voided)
Philadelphia: Andy Reid (Todd Bowles Interim)
San Diego: Norv Turner
Tennessee: Mike Munchak
Head Coaches Hired:
Carolina: Greg Roman
Greg Roman was intergal to the development of Colin Kaepernick and he's a young Offensive mind that will help Cam Newton take the next step in his career.
Cleveland: Andy Reid
Cleveland is becoming Philadelphia of the West. Joe Banner just became CEO of the team and the roster and coaching staff is a compilation of the Andy Reid coaching tree. Pat Shurmur lacks the leadership presence and he's let go. Andy is a football coach and has no interest in taking a year off. For years, the Browns have lacked a HC of Andy's caliber.
Dallas: Sean Payton
The lack of discussion about this move leads me to believe it's going to happen. Jerry Jones is one of the most difficult owners in the league given his large role in choosing personnel, but a mutual respect exists between Payton & Jerry. Sean Payton makes two unpopular decisions with the fan base, but I do not see Payton working effectively with Rob Ryan. While he's almost exclusively an offensive minded coach, he's more comfortable with the two gap 3-4 system. The second Romeo Crennel becomes available, Payton enlists his services to run the Defense. The next unpopular move and one that draws backlash from the fan base is jettisoning Dez Bryant. Watch 1 Cowboys game, you can tell Tony Romo & Dez Bryant do not have a strong working relationship. This move is symbolic. Dez is Jerry's Guy and trading him shows loosening of his grip on all decisions down at Valley Ranch.
Kansas City: Tom Clements
Dawson & Clements are both Notre Dame guys. That connection is one thing, but Clements has been a part of the highly successful Packers staff and he gets his shot at the top gig.
New Orleans: Joe Vitt
Payton leaves and Ownership does not look outside the Franchise. Instead, they retain Joe Vitt and keep the rest of the Coaching staff together.
Philadelphia: Jon Gruden
Tampa Bay & Oakland were not marquee jobs. These veteran coaches with Super Bowl rings covet the marquee jobs and Philadelphia is one of them. Owner Jeffrey Lurie cannot replace Andy with a coordinator who lacks credibility. While the idea of Chip Kelly is sexy on the surface, it almost seems destine for failure.
San Diego: John Pagano
The New GM promotes Pagano, who appears ready to lead a Franchise after multiple successful coaching stints.
Tennessee: Clyde Christensen
Ruston Webster was promoted to GM and he's going to have more influence inside the organization. Christensen & Webster both got their starts in the NFL down in Tampa Bay in the mid-1990s. Locker development needs to be catalyzed and Christensen's work with Luck and Peyton is his resume.
Offensive Coordinators Not Retained:
Arizona: Mike Miller
Baltimore: Cam Cameron
Carolina: Rob Chudzinski
Green Bay: Tom Clements
Kansas City: Brian Daboll
Minnesota: Bill Musgrave
New York Jets: Tony Sparano
Philadelphia: Marty Mornhinweg
San Diego: Hal Hunter
San Francisco: Tom Gamble
Tennessee: Chris Palmer & Dowell Loggains
Defensive Coordinators Not Retained:
Carolina: Sean McDermott
Cleveland: - Jauron
Dallas: Rob Ryan
Detroit: Gunther Cunningham
Jacksonville: Mel Tucker
Kansas City: Gary Gibbs
Philadelphia: Todd Bowles
Pittsburgh: - LeBeau (Retires)
San Diego: John Pagano (Head Coach)
Tennessee: Jerry Gray
Offensive Coordinators Hired:
Arizona: Marty Mornhinweg
New GM Jason Licht spent time in Philadelphia and Mornhinweg is a sophisticated offensive mind that will be responsible for play-calling. This allows Whiz to focus on managing the entire team from the top down.
Baltimore: Norv Turner
Norv Turner is one of the top Air Coryell guys in the history of the game. Joe Flacco is playing in this type of system with Cam Cameron, but I felt Cam should have been let go last offseason. When Turner becomes available, Ozzie Newsome and Harbaugh move quickly to bring him into the fold.
Carolina: Chris Palmer
As aforementioned, Ernie Accorsi is leading the GM search and he has a strong relationship with Chris Palmer. Recently axed in Tennessee, he has a track record of working with young QBs.
Green Bay: James Campen
Promoted from Offensive Line Coach.
Kansas City: Eric Studesville
Served on the Buffalo Bills coaching staff with Tom Clements in Buffalo.
Minnesota: Pat Shurmur
Real questions about Christian Ponder are emerging and it's time for a new coordinator to shake things up.
New York Jets: Jason Garrett
The Tony Sparano never made sense on so many levels. His lack of creativity has been well-chronicled, but he's been trying to protect a QB that simply cannot play in this league. Garrett uses this as a stepping stone to his next gig.
Philadelphia: Jeremy Bates
QB Coach in Chicago and a connection to Gruden.
San Diego: Rob Chudzinski
Returns to San Diego, where he was previously TE coach. The Chargers try to create a seamless transition from the old regime with familiar faces.
San Francisco: VACANT
Harbaugh doesn't hire anybody- He'll call the plays.
Tennessee: Ron Turner
Turner is now in Tampa Bay, but worked in Indianapolis for years with Christensen.
Defensive Coordinators Hired:
Carolina: Brian VanGorder
His future at Auburn is up in the air after Gene Chizik's firing. He's got experience in the NFC South and he runs the 4-3.
Cleveland: Ron Rivera
Andy does not retain longtime friend - Jauron, as he always felt Ron Rivera was the one that got away.
Dallas: Romeo Crennel
3-4 Two Gap scheme that Sean Payton is more comfortable with. I just do not believe a working relationship between Sean Payton and the brash Rob Ryan can work. Plus, his Defense hasn't exactly lived up to expectations. Romeo is one of the best motivators and coaches in the league. He'll be forces to adapt his coverage schemes on the backend, as he has Man Cover Corners. But he has experience with Carr and Claiborne is an exciting young player that would instantly benefit from a coach of Romeo's quality.
Detroit: Todd Bowles
Bowles and Mayhew have a relationship. Cunningham has to go and it's a sad day in Detroit because he's a real football guy and a great personality.
Jacksonville: Lou Spanos
Lou Spanos will implement a 3-4 in Jacksonville. Returns from the College Ranks. Rumors have circulated that Polian never really wanted to hire Dungy, who was a Steelers player. Polian has subtle connections to that Steelers franchise.
Kansas City: Winston Moss
LB's Coach will be an instant candidate for a HC job because he inherits one of the best Defenses in the game today.
Philadelphia: Rob Ryan
Gruden can put up with Rob Ryan, but he emphasizes that Rob must use multiple coverage schemes and also simplify his playbook. Rob agrees.
Pittsburgh: Keith Butler
Longtime Assistant takes over for Retiring LeBeau.
San Diego: Teryl Austin
Baltimore Guy with College experience. Secondary Coach.
Tennessee: Sal Sunseri
Tennessee DC doesn't pack his bags.

I like the OC change.
The three cuts you made are solid, although I would not want Smith resigned. I also expect the team to cut Calvin Pace (would save $8.5M) and Tim Tebow.
Happy to see Keller and Landry brought back. I hope we wouldn't overpay Greene. Thomas is not good at this point in his career.
I think the Jets can do better in FA. Assuming all necessary cuts are made, the Jets will have plenty of cap room. Alex Smith is ok as a stop-gap QB, but I'm not really a fan of the rest of the moves. Not a fan of Richie Incognito at all. Sean Smith would not be offered much PT here. We can sign a better pass rusher than Erik Walden.
I LOVE the Barr pick. The OL picks aren't bad, although I don't think we need to take two so early. We have bigger needs than replacing Austin Howard at RT. With QB Zac Dysert off the board there, I would like to see the Jets take WR Quinton Patton in the third. |

Jarvis Jones? YES YES YES YES YES!
The rest? Meh.
Jerry has confirmed that Garrett will not be fired.
Rob Ryan has been doing fairly good, despite what stats say. Its not his fault.
Why would we cut Lawrence Vickers? He's one of the best FBs in the league.
There is NO way we trade Dez. He's been playing great lately.
But still I LOVE this. Not so much for the Cowboys, but just in general, this is excellent. Must have taken a LONG time. Great work! |

Hate the coaches you have us hire. No interest in Gruden or ryan coming to our team.
FA pretty much is awful except for Grimes. The rest I'd rather not.
No interest in Michael Huff.
If you trade Maclin actually replace him.
Star is Ok, but I would prefer a pass rusher.
We don't really need an OT. Not enough to trade back into the first for one.
We need a franchise QB Dysert is a waste of a pick.
Good effort but I really would be upset with that for teh eagles. _________________

This is some work man but a couple things I did not like about the Bills. First off letting Levitre walk and then signing an OT in his place doesnt make much sense. After Byrd Levitre is the most important free agent and I would imagine they will do what they can to lock him up. Their OLINE has been a pleasant surprise this year and he is one of if not the main reason. Second a few waste in free agency. I dont see us signing Bennett we wont give out the cash when we just signed Chandler. Nothing against Burleson but he cant stay healthy and personally I wouldnt want him ahead of Donald Jones or David Nelson add to the fact you gave us Terrance Williams who I love.
For the draft. That is the exact route I want the Bills to go trade back get an extra 2nd or 3rd QB WR but you missed or biggest need which is LB. James Anderson is a decent pick up but we need some youth in there so take out the DE and give us K. Greene from Rutgers. Also just to note, Buddy Nix's loves guys from big time programs, so I doubt you will see much of the small school guys much at all. _________________

Nice job on the effort it took to make this, but for the Vikings:
Mike Wallace and Greg Jennings are on the move in FA and the best the Vikings can do is Darius Heyward-Bey?
An OT in free agency when we already have Kalil and Loadholt?
Trading away our only decent WR (Harvin) along with a 4th and the best we can get is a single late 1st ?!?!?!?
Another OT in the 2nd round ?????? OT isn't a need, OG is. |

Good effort, maybe next time bold some things.. For the Bills, Khalif Barnes makes no sense. He is not better than Pears and we would resign Andy Levitre over bringing in Barnes.
The draft is decent, we get our QB of the future and starting WR in Williams.. The addition of Martellus Bennett to Scott Chandler and Williams with Stevie Johnson, Donald Jones, TJ Graham and David Nelson makes sense and looks good.
Not keen on our FA acquisitions but keeping Byrd, and Levitre with that draft is a solid off season.
Good work |

I don't see us cutting Brown or signing Turner.
Pretty good Draft, but I'm not sure where Patton would fit with us. Wayne, Hilton, and Avery have the top 3 spots locked down. _________________

So you cut GB's starting Center, and don't resign their only back-up Center, don't sign a FA Center, don't trade for a Center, then don't draft a Center in favor of 2 TE to go with the other 4 TE left after Finley was traded... I'm assuming all of the RFA re-sign? I wouldn't expect you to fill position coaches, I wouldn't have even attempted. Other than that you were very comprehensive, and did a fairly good job. _________________

the only bad move is taking Tony Jefferson. we have no need for a safety with William Moore and Thomas Decoud. Also, no need to sign Tashard Choice, Kevin Williams or Kyle Arrington. those holes are already filled by Vance Walker, MJD, and Chris Owens/Robert McClain. _________________

A+ for effort. On the raiders: our OC Knapp will be gone, otherwise Raider fans will be raging. Lecher won't be franchised, he'll be cut. I expect more players to be cut as well - Seymour and McClain mainly. _________________
