I nearly selected him with my prior pick, so I am pleased to get Kevin Reddick here. Not a big need at the LB position, but Reddick represents too much value to pass up here. He has a lot of experience from N.C. and has the skills to play in multiple LB spots for us. Reddick will provide excellent depth behind our starting LBs as he develops.

Reid Fragel, OT Ohio State
Originally used primarily as a blocking TE in Jim Tressel's offense, Fragel came to Urban Meyer shortly after being hired to talk about his position with the team and requesting to be allowed to make the move to OT as he knew he didn't fit into Meyer's model for TEs. He made huge strides this year as a punishing run blocker often getting to the second level and being the key blocker in many long runs, and his pass protection was already decent due to his role under the previous coaching staff. His technique still needs work as he can at times lunge at defenders to try and initiate contact quickly, but it's something that can be learned and his great feet, as he was a TE previously, will allow him to eventually make the move to full time starter at LT for the Saints.
