Obviously you can't predict another cheap hit inbound like that...but i honestly don't know why Shorts III was back to playing so soon.
The NFL 'concussion protocol' is such a joke at this point. They need to fix it. Seriously.
I'm honestly worried about Shorts' future right now. Taking that kind of shot to the head is bad no matter what...but the fact he may not have been completely recovered from his first ordeal...I just don't get it. Maybe it's because of my background with hockey...but concussions are no joke. Very rarely do you see a guy with a severe head injury back on the ice a couple weeks later. Those subsequent brain impacts are the worst. The absolute worst.
