He'll be schvitzing in the heat there. I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up to a couple games in a bathing suit. _________________

Unless it's one of those old-timey 1920's one-piece swimsuits, that's NOT a mental image I wanted. Thanks a lot, green! _________________

Because unlike the NFCE the NFCW hasn't produced a SB Champ in well over a decade. Your Division is just as fluid year in and year out as the NFCE..Better at the moment yes but hardly world beaters when two of your four teams are consistantly picking in the top 10 and some top 5 year in and year out.. You just won't have two push over teams anymore to count on if indeed he does sign. _________________

The Cards dont even have a QB.
I dont care who you put in there, no one is winning with their current stable of QBs.
Unless they get a quality vet, I dont see how. If Vick is released, I can almost guarantee they will sign him, but I dont know if its enough to have a winning record.
And until Sam Bradford shows he has it, I dont trust the Rams to do anything.
I see the division being the same as this year...just the Cards being slightly better. |
2012 Sam Bradford is good enough to get a team to the playoffs.
Do I hope he improves? Yep.
But the Rams weren't far off from the playoffs this year. With some FA spending money and another strong draft, they're very much a contender even if Bradford plays like he did this year. The biggest difference on offense would be a running game that's better than below average and capable of scoring TDs.
Obviously, I want Bradford to be like Brady or Manning but even if he remains at average QB/game manager level...with a strong run game and defense, the Rams can get to the playoffs. Two things they aren't far off from having.
But alas, I don't trust the Rams either...has nothing to do with Sam Bradford though. _________________

If this does happen, good hire by the Cards. Best of luck to them and Andy. _________________

Like others, I thought that Horton would probably become the next HC in Arizona because of him already being part of their organization and coaching staff, that the familiarity he has with the roster would be something good and coveted by the Front Office.
However, going with Andy Reid in my opinion would be a great move for that franchise. They already have a good defense, so bringing in a guy like Reid who is an offensive minded coach makes sense to me because of how abysmal the offense has been, which is clearly the biggest problem that the team has. One thing that I was just thinking about is how Kevin Kolb played his best football by far when he was an Eagle, under Andy Reid. Reid already knows Kolb, his strengths and weaknesses, and Kolb knows Andy and the offense that he runs, so it could end up being a good thing for the Cards that Andy and Kevin could work together again which just may end up turning Kolb into a half decent started again as opposed to simply just being a monster Free Agency bust. Either way, I don't see Kolb being the franchise QB of the future for the Cards, but until Andy could bring in a QB via the draft or Free Agency, having Kolb as a stop-gap might be good enough. For the most important thing, I could see Andy Reid finally use Larry Fitzgerald the best way possible which could lead to Fitz being able to put up Madden like stats.
Since their defense is already good, and the offense being worse than terrible, bringing in Andy Reid to not only be the Head Coach but also being an Offensive Coordinator type is in my opinion exactly what the Cardinals need. _________________

Man, the NFC West just got that much more competitive. I could easily see them go offensive line heavy with the first couple picks a la 49ers a few years back. _________________

| Andy Reid is a good head coach. I believe he's going to do a lot of positive things in Arizona but he has to change his approach. If he's throwing the football 65% of the time in Philly with average receivers, then in Arizona with Fitzgerald and Floyd improving, he may never run the football. |

Well I think the GDT will see a lot more Reid now, hopefully Horton leaves and they bring in Crennell as DC. The blob squad... _________________ Robert Quinn
