Please don't use that as a positive. It's the main reason we all wanted him ran out of town towards the end. The inability to use and utilized your best player to the fullest. Instead of 16/17 carries Shady should have been upwards of 23-25.
Charles got 1500 yards getting that many carries a game.

Imagine what he could of done had Matt Cassell been asked not to throw 5 more times a game and hand it off to Charles instead?
Cassel isn't going to QB the Chiefs anymore so I don't see the issue.
I'd rather Charles get 15 carries a game as opposed to 20, that's perfect for him. He's go an ACL tear on his record already no need to go anymore then that. Especially with a passing attack to bring the defense back a little bit. _________________
