This is very vanilla to me...the best pick is Tank Carradine...he'll be gone by the 4th.
18 is too high for Lane Johnson IMO
Where does Sean Porter play? Strong Side Backer? i don't see that... _________________

Love, love, LOVE the FA signings (minus Greene) and I don't like the Draft. _________________

Michael Johnson would be a great catch. But, I think he's going to command way more mula than we have to spend. If we are spending that money on him, I just assume spend it on Spencer to keep him around. _________________

I disagree. I would much rather have Johnson than Spencer. _________________

Why is that? Just curious. I could be persuaded _________________

Johnson is an excellent pass-rushing DE for the 43. He is also 4 years younger. _________________

I gotcha. Didn't realize he was that much younger. I do like the versatility Spencer could bring to a 4-3 though. He could, with his size and strength, conceivably play the SAM. Although, in the Tampa 2, I highly doubt he has the speed to succeed in that role. _________________

I applaud Spencers effort this past year - but, his testimony to not giving it his all still bothers me. _________________

Johnson is an excellent OT. He will move boards before all is said and done.
Porter is a tackling, blitzing and coverage machine. Easily my favorite 43 LBer.
McDonald - As a rookie, how can you beat someone who is already familiar with Kiffen's D.
Carradine - Assuming he's healthy, he' da very good get in rd 4. Poor man's Simion Rice.
Schwenke - Underrated, big time.
Grissom - Quick off the ball and decent potential as a backup rook.
FA pickups
Dorsey - drafted into wrong system, Kiffen's D sets up perfect for Dorsey. 'Lil Sapp' as Matts said in another thread
Johnson - Will be hard to pry away from Cincy, as he is now starting to come into his own. 11.5 sacks this season. Some risk as he doubled his career sack total this season.
Vasquez = Bernadueceis absolutely abysmal, with Turner coming in, maybe we can nab an actually OG worth something.
Greene - I've seen the kid play and despite his mediocre production w/ the Jets, he is well worth the risk. In a Turner type system, I could see Greene flourishing. _________________

With Lewan and Matthews returning back to school that pushes other OTs up the board(Fisher, Johnson) Johnson gets over extended at times and showed me an OT that i would be more than happy to take in the Late 1st/Early 2nd.
I like Sean Porter as well but more of a later 2nd at the highest. Very undersized.
I agree with the Schwenke pick. he is very underrated and at least good competition for Costa/Cook
When all is said and done i think many of these players are taken a half rd-1 rd too high.
Plus we neglect many of our needs.
My hope is for the DL/OL/Passrush BPA. _________________

Pretty much the same for me, except I love Greene
WAY WAY too high for Lane Johnson. Maybe Fisher there. Positions are OK, but the people are bad. _________________

This would be classified as a rebuilding draft. No immediate impact players and a quarterback to learn behind Romo. I wouldn't hate it I just dont know if Barkley is the guy to bet the future on. _________________

I hope to the football gods that Barkley never starts for this team. All for going after a QB but I'm not feeling a Quincy Carter like trade back for a marginal starting QB. If we roll the dice on any QB in the top 2 rounds give me Bray or Wilson. _________________
