This really surprises me.. I thought our ST unit was VASTLY improved at the end of the year, compared to the beginning of the year.

This surprised me too, especially since he came with Pagano from Baltimore.

Someone in the NFL News forum suggested that he might have an offer to go somewhere else and asked out of his contract. That sounds reasonable considering: A ) This situation, and B ) the Colts could refuse to let him interview for a job unless it is considered a promotion from the position he is currently in. So if he is going to be hired somewhere else as special teams coordinator this had to happen this way.

The Colts were apparently denied when asking to meet with the Browns ST coordinator. So were a handful of other teams, as well.

This move still puzzles me..
