The Kansas City Chiefs appear to have their special teams coach. Per a report from Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times and Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, Dave Toub is expected to join the Chiefs. Toub is coming from the Chicago Bears where he was the special teams coordinator.

Offseason keeps getting better and better. Very Happy

Among the top 3 Best ST coordinators in the NFL, and there is no debate. KC will have a night and day coaching staff from last season... although I'm not very confident in Andy Reid.

The only way this offseason could have started off better was luring Horton here as DC instead of Sutton.

Dancing

I am very happy with this hiring. IMO this is a steal and I am not sure why Toub didn't get any attention as a potential head coaching candidate other than the courtesy interview by the Bears.

That would never have happened. Horton is probably going to get the Cards HC job.

One of the best in the business. Surprised he hasn't gotten a HC gig somewhere yet.

The longer the Cards job is open, the more you have to imagine they aren't going to hire Horton.

Agreed, even though I kind of think it would end the same way as KC hired Crennel.

Damn I wanted him for Eagles. Great hire.

He would have been the perfect replacement for Mike Westhoff.

It's kind of rare for someone to move directly from ST coordinator to HC. Jim Harbaugh was the ST coach in Philly for years, and didn't get hired as a head coach until after he was DB coach for a year (he moved to DBs specifically to increase his chance of getting a HC job).
