The only reason he became at all notable is because of Peyton Manning.
BUT, ya never know. He could be a great HC. Only time will tell, but definitely the most overrated candidate out there. |
Except he was a hot candidate last year........ |
Not really. He may have been on the radar, but wasnt "hot" until this year. |
Yes he was,
He was a finalist for the Dolphins job last year and by most reports most teams that hired a new HC last season had him as their number two guy, which is a big reason why he was a front-runner for many jobs this year.
Having Peyton helped, but his work with Tebow, Orton, and Delhomme is what put him on the map. |

I'm not a fan, reminds me of when the Chief hired Haley. Hire a guy after coaching one of the greatest QB's ever for a year. I fully understand that he's coached else where, but does not compute...Good luck Bolts.. _________________ I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

Agree with this. Had the Broncos went a different direction with their QB situation, i think McCoy still would have gotten a HC job this year. _________________

Have to take the wait and see on this hire. He just doesn't strike me a great HC. _________________

I dont understand all the people that keep talking about how he was a conservative play caller...
He's already stated that he is going to be a leader of the offense, and have in put in it, but he isn't going to be calling plays. From most accounts he's a great leader of a unit, and it seems that he's a guy who will be better as a HC than as a OC because of his mentality and personality. _________________
