Well that was fast. Good pick up by Chicago. Anytime you can add a coordinator or any coach for that matter who has some HC experience its a good pick up.

Will Trestman be calling the plays?
With the Bears OL, this seems like a solid hire.

We dont know for sure yet, he was just hired at 2am!! Haha
The local radio shows are saying he probably will call the plays though.

Yes Trestman will be the playcaller, Kromer will primarily be the sounding board for Trestman, and work w/ the OL.

Webb is 100x better than Gabe Carimi. Yeah Bushrod is welcome here.

This is the point I've been trying to make. If Kromer's so good at drafting and developing OL I'd rather do that than overpay for a mediocre LT.

Why waste money on a guy you know is at best, average? If I'm the Bears I let Kromer have input on the OL you draft and have him groom them. Since he's been here he's developed Evans and Nicks into arguably the 2 best OGs in the NFL, turned Brian De La Puente into a starting C and made Zac Strief and Jermon Bushrod look like serviceable OTs. Hell he even got Bushrod into a Pro bowl.

Typically don't like OL coaches as OCs. My gut says Trestman will call the plays, here. This makes sense though since the Bears' offensive line is horrible.

Kromer will probably operate as running game coordinator and OL Coach even though he's listed as OC.
