I posted this in the draft thread after Georgia's bowl game
Watching Georgia play, I like Ogletree. He would be a great fit at SLB next to Burfict in the middle. He is a great athlete and would be a great coverage LB (He used to be a safety) and is also a nice blitzer. He does have several things to work on such as he has a tendency to play too high and he seems hesitant filling holes and reacting to plays. He is a boom or bust pick but especially if we keep Zimmer, he is worth it.
Definitely not the most polished LB but like I said, I feel he is a great fit for Zimmer's D. Most of his weaknesses are due to being pretty raw at the LB position and can be fixed through good coaching and experience.
Ok, I can agree, but why would you use a 1st round pick on him? Maybe a late second.but still then, I wouldn't draft him. |

Most people grade him at a mid to low first round to mid second rounder. If the team likes him that much, he won't last until the bottom of the second, so they will have to move on him sooner. Enough teams might feel that way, and he might not be there at #21. _________________

The only thing i dont like about Ogletree is that he plays too soft. Like someone mentioned earlier he doesn't take on blocks/gaps well or with enough leverage. Plays pretty high and tends to get pushed around in the run game. How ever he does a great job reading the QB's eyes in coverage (former safety) and reading + reacting to plays. He's also rather instinctual as well. His potential is through the roof with some decent coaching (ala Zim). _________________
