I am in a dynasty league and we are adding two members, so we have to put players in for an expansion draft. This move will be for the 2013 season.
The rule is, we can only protect 5 players who cannot be touched.
I have 6 players worth keeping
Brees
Peterson
Doug Martin
Alfred Morris
Demaryius Thomas
Gronk
I am def keeping Brees and my 3 RBs so who should I keep between Thomas and Gronk? I am leaning towards Gronk just because there is such a high drop off between all the tight ends avail. However, my WR core behind Thomas is not that reliable and of course some might get taken (Nicks, Amendola, Shorts, Hilton)
This is a standard PPR league. _________________

I think Gronk and Aaron Hernandez will be closer to each other in terms of production next year. I'd go with Thomas. |

Hopefully Ertz gets on a team where he can start right away _________________

I actually think it's easier to replace WR's than TE's. There's always a dozen of them popping up every year that provide a big impact. TE, not so much.
Then again, Gronk is getting into this habit of being hurt. So there's that.
But i'd protect Gronk and kiss Thomas goodbye, because he's being taken for sure.
BTW - is there a rule that only so many players can be taken from your team? Because i'm thinking of my dynasty team - it'd be pillaged if we had this happen in our league. No joke, my team is so much better than everyone else's. My 12th guy would start on most teams. Alfred Morris was benched for most of the year. jw. _________________ If you're not in over your head, how do you know how tall you are?

We have 5 contract players, 8 rfa, and 8 ufa
We can lose only 2 rfa and 2 ufa, so we can only lose a max of 4
Would that change your mind? _________________

Gronk. He's the best TE out there. Not many TEs, if any, can duplicate his production. _________________

Gronk no doubt. I had D. Thomas on my team and loved it. IMO he's going to be top 10 maybe top 5 in fantasy points for WR. However, Gronk is the best at his position. A position in which there aren't many high scoring players. _________________

Sums up my thoughts.
Id take Gronk, WRs are easier to replace that Elite TEs. _________________ Soccer Forums Most Underated Poster 2012 Award Winner. |
