I'd say anything less than a record above .500 at the halfway mark would be grounds for termination. |
I would say that's pretty accurate. _________________

| I think as long as Rex's football team shows a definite improvement and proves to be in nearly every game even if they dont top .500 I think he's safe. But if they're gettin blown out 10-40 several times in the season he's gone. If they play attacking and passionate football I feel that Rex will retain his job, and I feel that is at least what he will get out of his defense. On the offensive side one can only hope. |

Jets are also interviewing Pat Shurmur for OC....... good luck jets fans |
We have also interviewed Cam Cameron (out of the running), Pep Hamilton (believed to be heading to the Colts), Marty Mornhinweg, and Joe Lombardi. _________________

It's official: Jets have announced John Idzik has been named general manager. Announcement was made by Jets chairman/CEO Woody Johnson. |

What's with the Jets and hiring cap guru guys? I won't lie and pretend like I know Idzik (honestly, this is the first time I've heard his name prior to the signing), but it seems as though he is one of the top cap management guys in the league.
I don't really think this bodes well for the Jets in the draft room as much as it does with them retaining and signing free agents. And in my opinion, that's not what the Jets needed.
However, it's nice that we're finally the team that is getting guys stolen from us. That didn't even happen when Holmgren was around. _________________

He also has roots in personnel management and even coaching. The Seahawks have used him recently to scout and he even sat in on many film sessions. He's not exactly Mike Tannenbaum 2.0. _________________
