Breaking news: Raiders hire Greg Olson to be their offensive coordinator, according to person familiar with the situation.

He was OC for the Bucs from 2009 - 2011 and QB coach for the Jags last year.

Thoughts?

Wehooo... partaaaay. Another underwhelming signing, and by the sounds of it, he isnt good by any means. At this point however anything or anyone is an upgrade over Knapp.

Allen just doesn't seem to have the connections to build a good staff...this is a very underwhelming OC hire a year after hiring Greg freaking Knapp as OC.

With hires like these, I can't say i like Allen's chances of sticking around as Raider HC past next year

I mean with him last year Gabbert looked at least like a backup NFL QB and Henne had some moments when he started. That could be a positive

Tough to say. Personally, I doubt it, because I think that the only way KC doesn't take him is if a red flag pops up. New defensive minded HC, probably take a defensive player.
But I'm just a guy. Sooooo
