He took one of the worst jobs in football given the current rosters and fan bases IMO. Garbage team with a city that expects a Superbowl out of them. Lose lose....unless he actually pulls it off. |
Heh, yeah, the worst job in football |
Agreed. |

Oh did I mention you're replacing the winningest coach in team history who they fired because HE couldn't/didn't win a Superbowl? _________________

What talent? No QB, a weak defense, no O-line? Even Maclin was bad. They've got McCoy and some pieces IMO. Not a whole lot to build around unless the team just mailed it in the last 2 seasons. _________________

I'll take another 14 years without an Eagles superbowl. We'll win another 2-3 by then!
And Chip Kelly will pull a Saban/Carroll/Spurrier _________________

It was sarcasm
Fans (most) always complain about how useless he is come draft day and during the off season. But then bolster that they are great because they have the best recieving core, a top 3 running back (this is true), Foles is god in the making. And their whole defensive line is top notch.
Not speaking for every fan, but this is the majority of the stuff I hear when going to sports bars _________________

Worst job in football update:
http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2013/02/01/chip-kelly-to-appea-at-sportsradio-wip-wing-bowl-21/
| Quote: | Kelly was met with thunderous applause when he was introduced to the crowd at around 7:40am on Friday. The Eagles Fight Song followed, and ended with a huge “E-A-G-L-E-S” chant, probably the loudest we’ve heard in a long time.
As Kelly addressed the crowd, many of his words were drowned out by “Chip, Chip, Chip!” chants from around the arena.
Angelo’s first question to Kelly: “What is your reaction to being here now in your first major public appearance in our city:
“Wow, just wow,” said Kelly. “I wanted to get a feel for what Philadelphia is like — kind of speechless.” |

I thought it was because of the infatuation people had with Riley Cooper:
