The only teams there that were DEFINITELY superior to the other team overall were the Pats over the Giants, but the Giants were a different team in both those postseasons than they were in the regular season. The 2006 Bears were the biggest overachievers of the last decade. Getting 13 wins and making the SB with Rexy at QB was a fluke, as proven in the following years.
The Saints or 2010 were just as good as the Colts.
The Packers IMO were better than the Steelers that year.

They went 11-5 in 2005 and were the #2 seed w/ Kyle Orton. It wasn't a fluke, the OL ran off a steep cliff, Thomas Jones was traded, Tank Johnson turned into a massive headcase and was released, Tommie Harris was never the same post-injury. It really wasn't the same team 2007 and beyond. |
It was still a fluke. Several players on your team had career years at the same time. Im not saying they were a bad team otherwise, but they were never truly a championship caliber team. |
Who? It wasn't Briggs or Urlacher's best year, Rex Grossman has basically replicated that season every year in his limited # of starts as a backup. The only one who can really be argued as having a career year is Mark Anderson, who was a rookie.
