I'm trying to find something comforting about facing that front 7. |
Our pass rush hasn't really been there as a whole. | The tricep injury must be giving him difficulty to hold on so the pass rush can get there (Aldon).
Although I will say Aldon's bull rush against the Falcons tackle last week was impressive.
He wants some McKinnie. He be lickin his chops.
But he won't get any because Flacco will get that ball out so fast the whole D-line will just give up on the pass rush. |
Aldon hasn't been 100% either. He has been injured as well. _________________

It's really tough to say what's hurt our pass rush more, Aldon's injury or Justin's injury.
But the bottom line is that it's not the same. _________________ 49ers |

Aldon looked better on Sunday but hopefully he is close to 100% for the SB. _________________

I'm going with the team that wears RED & GOLD.
I think the Niners are going to bring #6 home to the Bay Area!! |

Yeah, I think Aldon is finally healthy again. Justin, not so much. He's still fine holding the point of attack, but he's obviously lost some strength in the arm. Guy's all heart, though, and if there's one player you know won't leave anything on the field in the super bowl, it is Justin. Aldon looks like he's healthy and getting it figured out again. The pass rush actually looked pretty good in the second half of the Atlanta game. The Falcons were so in-synch in the first half that they hardly had a chance to get to Ryan before the ball was away.
Bottom line is that the pass rush isn't the roflstomp machine it was against the Bears, but it looks like they're getting back in gear. |

 | The bull rush doesn't work because Aldon is stronger than the OT's he goes up against (though he is incredibly strong for a LB), it works because he sets them up with his speed rush. Get them to expect that and when you see them starting to cheat, use the bull-rush when they are off balance trying to cut off the outside rush. _________________

He's not going to bull rush McKinnie. He's a mountain, and he weighs a metric ton. _________________
