Check out the numbers of these guys. Almost identical. Who do you think is better?

So many of the categories they're almost identical. I'd have to say Brady just because of health and consistency.

Montana did things in the postseason that you just won't see again. He had an average passer rating of 146.4 in the 1989 playoffs and this was an era when the average passer ratings were quite a bit lower.

Both great. Brady was more durable and has a stronger arm, but I'd go with Montana here. So intelligent and accurate, and I feel he really gets overlooked at times for his mobility. Before the back injury in 1986, he was very mobile and eluded the rush so well. He ran for almost 60 yards in SB 19.

Even afterwards, I've seen many times where his mobility would get the Niners a first down on a 3rd-and-something.

I don't think I've seen anyone throw on the roll better than him.
