(2) DE Bjoern Werner - Florida St
(33) C Barrett Jones - Alabama
(66) CB Jamar Taylor - Boise St
(97) OLB Jamie Collins - Southern Miss
(130) DT Cory Grissom - South Florida
(161) RB Ray Graham - Pittsburgh
(194) TE Nick Kasa - Colorado
Yeah, no QB...not thrilled about that, but felt this would take more than one off-season to fix anyway and something had to give. There were enough needs (and I wanted to draft need-based like Caldwell) that I just took what I felt was the best player I thought might be available at the pick that filled what I saw as a need. As this draft is strong in the trenches, I openly tried to use a significant amount of picks there.

I'd agree that 3 are beautifull, as i'd be stoked to get Collins in the 4th.
but Werner #2 doesn't strike my fancy. I'd prefer Star or Moore really.
But other than that, it may not realistically fall that way, but i really do like that draft for us as a whole. |

Matt scott in the 4th would be great. he is a better prospect than given credit for. |
I'll meet you half way and say I don't want neither, and neither will be any special. Hell just trade for Tyrod Taylor if you want a QB who can run. |
Or EJ Manuel |
lol.
If we're talking Ty Taylor and EJ Manuel, why would we not just bring in The Tebow. Honestly...if we want a 'running threat QB' with very little awareness in the passing game, why not bring home the native son? Not to mention, Taylor is pretty terrible and Manuel is a disaster...might as well get some press out of it and probably some lolz at the Florida homers' expense.
If we want to go with a running QB and the trendy read option shenanigans...it's Tebow or bust for this team right now. To draft any QB in this class as the guy to run that system is just...bad really. Even a Collin Klein is just...a poor man's Tebow. There's just no miracle Kaepernick/Russell read option wizzard there right now. |

Never said there was an answer in the form of running quarterback. But if you're going to discuss the position from that angle, Manuel has to be in the conversation.
Of all the options in front of us this season, I think rolling with Blaine is the best bet. _________________

I hate it simply because of round two.
Also Gavin Escobar lasting until round 5 is probably a pipe dream. He should be off the board by then. I'd love to have him though. _________________

Yepp. Every QB in the draft at that point is a big project, and we're pretty much looking for someone that can go out and play good right now. _________________

1. I agree. I don't like any of the QB's in this draft, but I just have a feeling we will draft one. I won't be overly surprised if we don't, but I just think we will. I hope we at least wait till next year.
2. You are probably right, a guy can dream though.
How About...

I doubt Poyer lasts that long. Even if he does, I like both CBs a lot so it's an either/or thing. _________________

This was the reason I didn't pencil in Poyer. Well, that and I didn't want to look like a total homer (OSU Alum). _________________

He had Jamar Taylor as the selection and someone else brought up Jordan Poyer _________________
