INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Sporting News has announced that Indianapolis Colts general manager Ryan Grigson has been named NFL Executive of the Year.
Grigson won by a 9-8 vote of a panel of league executives and coaches.
While he also was named executive of the year by Pro Football Weekly, the Sporting News award is recognized as preeminent honor.

This is an award that is completely deserved. Grigson has definitely proven his worth with his phenomenal selections and moves that have catapulted this team to heights most fans never thought possible - so soon. I can't wait to see what this team can be with him leading the charge forward for years to come.
Congrats Grigson.

For what it's worth, this is the Sporting News award and not the AP award though Grigson has, to my recollection, been named Exec of the Year twice now (Sporing News and PFW)
Congrats Ryan.
Also PFW named Bruce Arians Coach of the Year
SPorting News named Pagano/Arians coach of the year. And Arians Asst coach of the year. |

The AP doesn't hand out an executive of the year, to my knowledge..
