Only with the Jets would people find a "very exploratory, informal discussion" regarding Russell as news worthy. 
Only with the Jets are post like these allowed on the board, any other team this would be considered trolling.

Did they really?
The ever ambiguous "sources" say this "highly informal" discussion took place.
So, this article states, based on an anonymous "source", that "very informal" discussions took place.
A news source has nothing to lose with a story like this. There are no names inside the Jets linked to this, and there is even less to lose for a reporter when he says the talks have been "very informal".
The only reason this is "only the Jets" is because only the Jets could be the target of such a flimsy story and have it stick. |
