Atlanta Falcons trade the 30th pick and the 124th pick to the St. Louis Rams for pick #22 this still giving Atlanta a conditional 4th round pick for MLB Curtis Lofton
#22 Ziggy Ensah DE BYU (they fall in love with this guy so they move up)
#60 Giovanni Bernard RB UNC (Homerun Hitter with some power)
#92 Jelani Jenkins OLB Florida (injurys are a concern)
(comp pick) 4th rd. Zavier Gooden OLB Miissouri (caught eyes in Senior Bowl)
#154 Kwame Geathers DT Georgia (BPA)
#186 Tyranne Matheui CB LSU (character concerns but great talent hoping Dimitroff takes a chance)
#216 Vince Williams ILB FSU (we need someone better than Dent IMO)
I know we will have more picks , I didn't count the comp picks but here is my shot at a Falcons mock Draft! _________________ 2013 Foster A Falcon

I like it.
IF Ziggy is there at 22 i would definetly trade up. i think matheui might go a lil earlier, plus he's a die hard saint fine. U think we triple dip at LB? Y not double dip at DE and LB?
Just a thought i dont do mocks |

Quote: | Tyranne Matheui CB | On this forum, your going to get killed for selecting any guy "with character concern". BUT in my opinion, if he there's that late, he's worth the pick.
The only thing, I think DB is a position that we need sooner than later. I would like to draft a DB in rounds 2 or 3. |

Not bad...I'll give you my thoughts though
I'm a little gun shy on Ziggy (even thought I picked him in my draft) He's still very green, hasn't played a lot of ball and the last time we spent a 1st round pick on a green DE (See Jamal Anderson) It didn't work out well...
Jelani Jenkins would be a mistake in my eyes...here's the switches I would make...and I can tell you know you won't like it ...with your trade I'd go
#22 Alec Ogletree OLB/ILB UGA (Can cover and Blitz , super high motor with an attitude to match)
#60 Giovanni Bernard RB UNC (Homerun Hitter with some power)
#92 Robert Alford CB/KR/PR SELA (showed out at the senior bowl, I know we have bigger needs than a CB..but hey, this kid is a player)
(comp pick) 4th rd. William Gholston DE Mich. St. (character concerns...yeah, but our locker room has to be strong enough to get kids in place now)
#154 Kwame Geathers DT Georgia (BPA)
#186 Cornelius Washington DE UGA (caught eyes in Senior Bowl, and all season long...his profile reminds me of Geno Atkins, productive but overshadowed in his time a GA, hard worker, with great moves...don't believe me, watch any UGA Highlights, He's the reason Jarvis made so many plays)
#216 Vince Williams ILB FSU (plays hard...that is all we need this late in the draft) _________________

I think we play more 3-4 this coming year and we desperately need some faster OLB's and Ensah IMO will start from day 1 because of his motor and in FA I think we make 2 big signings in
Andy Levitre OG
Randy Starks DT
So for lineup reasons the 3-4 lineup would be
NT-Randy Starks (Geathers)
DE-Ziggy Ensah (Massaquou)
DE-John Abraham (Babineaux)
OLB-Jelani Jenkins (Nicholas)
OLB-Zavier Gooden (James)
ILB-Akeem Dent (Williams)
ILB-Sean Weatherspoon (Williams)
CB-Robert Mcclain (Matheui)
CB-Assante Samuel (Owens)
SS-William Moore (Mitchell)
FS-Thomas Decoud (Mitchell)
Now our 4-3 lineup
DT-Randy Starks (THis is the Anchor Jerry couldn't be so long JERRY!)
DT-Jonathan Babineaux (Keep doing what you do dog)
DE-Ziggy Ensah (Man for our Defense's sake Please be a beast)
DE-John Abraham (Give us one more good year and adios amigo)
MLB-Akeem Dent (Really hoping Williams can fight into the StartingLineup
WLB-Jelani Jenkins (maybe this guy can cover a TE with his 4.5 speed)
SLB-Sean Weatherspoon
CB-Assante Samuel (Keep talking )
CB-Robert Mcclain (time to step up and play everyday)
SS-William Moore (please Resign him)
FS-Thomas Decoud
Offensive Starters
QB- Matt Ryan
RB- Gio Bernard
FB- Mike Cox
WR- Julio JOnes
WR- Roddy White
TE- Tony Gonzo (Please One more year)
LT- Sam Baker
LG- Justin Blalock
C- Peter Konz
RG- Andy Levitre
RT- Tyson Clabo
And Thats what I think _________________ 2013 Foster A Falcon

I definitly wouldn't mind getting Ogletree In my mind I think we ought to go 3-4 all the time I also like your mock some of the same guys excluding Jenkins but its ok if we go Ogletree then Jenkins we could exclude, I just hope in your mock Gholston keeps his mouth shut and just plays because there is no doubt he has talent. I inparticular am tired of gettting DE's in the late rounds basically that is what we have now see (SIDBURY, MATTHEWS) I am a little skepitical of Late Round DE's! Golston is a player though!! _________________ 2013 Foster A Falcon

Not Sure Ensah or Abe have the size to be DE's in a 3-4 lineup, we'd need someone like Margus Hunt or Datone Jones for that. Well maybe Nolan has Abe and Ensah or whoever we get to play DE beef up 10 lbs. or use Abe has a rush OLB and put Babs there IMO we need speed at the Linebacker position and a DE with size and speed and I know Abe can't cover but he could a great situational pass rusher!! _________________ 2013 Foster A Falcon

Ansah has some athleticism for his size. I won't pretend like I know what I am talking about but could he play he play OLB in a 3-4? I highly doubt we get him irl though. _________________ XBL GT: L JGOLD L |

If we go to the 3-4 according to the signings you made. I think we'd expect to see something like this
NT-Randy Starks
DE-Peria Jerry
DE-Jonathan Babineaux
OLB-John Abraham
OLB-Kroy Biermann/Gooden/Jenkins
ILB-Akeem Dent
ILB-Sean Weatherspoon _________________ NFL: Atlanta Falcons

I think Ansah has the speed and size to play both OLB and DE if that was the case then to start the season the Depth Chart would maybe look like this and first let me say I think Peria Jerry will not be retained also I think in a 3-4 Abe would be used less maybe as a situtional pass rusher with more Ansah and Babs.
Depth Chart to start the season in a 3-4
NT-Randy Starks
DE-Jonathan Babineaux
DE-Kroy Biermann
OLB-Ziggy Ansah(with rotation of Ansah Abe and Biermann from DE to OLB on the weaker tackle side This way Abe or Ansah could line up over
top Bierman or vice versa)
OLB-Gooden/Jenkins (on the TE side)
ILB-Sean Weatherspoon/Akeem Dent/Vince Williams
ILB-Williams/Dent/Weatherspoon _________________ 2013 Foster A Falcon
