The Jets aren't going anywhere until they get a new offense and QB, who knows how many years that will take.

Three teams made such a leap in one year just this past season.

I know that is not the true standard, but quick turnarounds seem to be the trend lately.
All three of those teams also got what appears to be a stud QB. Are the Jets going to find one?

Tampa has the highest first round pick at 13 out of those three teams. We also have 2 - 4ths, ours and the Pats.

Is there any team that made a quick turnaround without a QB?

If not, who are the Jets going to find at QB to fix things? It's an awful year to be needing a QB.

They also said that the year that Colin Kaepernick, Andy Dalton, Cam Newton and Christian Ponder were in the draft. All have taken their teams to the playoffs aside from Newton.

If the Bengals can make the playoffs 2 years in a row without a good QB, I think the Jets can make the playoffs next year.

I remember in to 2011 season, everyone thought the Bengals would finish with a Top 5 pick.

I guess it depends on your view of Geno and Wilson. But if those two are that good, does anyone honestly think KC, Jacksonville, Philly, Buffalo and Arizona are all going to pass on them?

You don't know who I am Chico? Say hello ....to the bad guy.

Really, Kaepernick and Ponder "took" their teams to the playoffs?

Confused

Maybe. You never know.

No one could have seen Wilson coming. His success is obviously not typical, but the point is that the QB position, more than any, is fickle, and impossible to predict.

Luck and RG3's success were a lot easier to predict, but even their success was kind of extraordinary and went beyond what many thought would happen.

Keep in mind I'm not saying this is going to happen with the Jets, but to say they're not going anywhere soon because they don't have a great QB right now is a little shortsighted. It's entirely possible they find one in the coming draft.

The point is, you don't trade away your best player because you don't have a QB right now. You try to find a QB, and make it work.

Any contender should give up their 1st round pick if he checks out medically. Revis is the best defensive player in football.

Bob throws things at a wall, and when they stick he points those out, when they don't he says his sources lied. He sucks and is a fraud.

You are genuinely denying Kaepernick's importance to the 9ers?

No, I'm genuinely asking if he "took" his team to the playoffs. The team was well on their way without him. They were on their way with Smith at the helm as well. I'm not ragging on him at all, he's a fantastic young QB and I would be ecstatic if the Saints brought in a clone of Kaepernick to replace Brees at some point.

Not to get farther off topic, I'll leave it at that. My definition of "taking" a team to the playoffs is apparently different than JMGs.

If I'm the Saints, I'm offering a 1st, 4th and conditional 2nd next year for him.
