Damn homie that's a crap load of free agent signings lol. There's no way we'd get all those players without other teams signing some of them. _________________

I understand the chart is just guidelines and very out of date but someone said that I was unrealistic when in fact its not. I expect Geno Smith to go #1 to KC, Star to go to Jax @2, and StL to fall in love with Joeckel (plus expect Fisher SD#11 and possibly Johnson to be gone by 16) and trade up.
It isnt really alot of free agent signings. I unlike most mock offseasons listed enough transaction to fill up the entire 90 man TC roster. Upon further look:
Quote: | Street FAs or scrubs:
Jordan Palmer QB- 1yr, .715m
Kevin O'Connell QB- 1yr, .715m
Benard Scott RB- 1yr, .715m
Deon Butler- 1yr, .715m
Chilo Rachal G- 1yr, .715m
David Buehler K- 1yr, .715m
Marcus Thomas DT- 1yr, .715m
Low Level FAs:
Keith Rivers OLB- 1yr, .715m
Quentin Groves- 1yr, .715m
Darius Butler- 2yrs/3M: 1.0, 1.0 with 1.0 SB.
Mid Level FAs:
Jared Cook- 2yrs/5.5m: 1.0, 2.5 with 2.0 SB.
Max Starks T- 2yr/6M: 2.5, 3.5.
Paul Kruger DE/OLB- 4yrs/16M: 1.0, 2.5, 3.5, 5 with 4.0 SB.
Glenn Dorsey DT- 2yrs/5.5M: 1.5, 2.5 with 2.0 SB.
Larry Grant- 2yrs/5m: 1.0, 2.0 with 2.0 SB.
Leodis McKelvin- 2yrs/6M: 1.0, 2.0 with 3.0 SB. |

I based all my projections of players available at certain picks off of nfldraftscout.com. They are a very credible site/company.
Yes Kniles Davis may rise after workouts but I think that its not right for other members of the site to say my projections are unrealistic. I based them off of good sources who know more than me or you. Its impossible to do a mock draft and not have someone say that such and such a player will not be there. Yes, he might not but at the moment the experts are saying he should be, and thats all I can go on. |

2012 free agent signings from start of offseason to end of Training Camp, not including undrafted free agent rookies:
Quote: | 01/06/2012 Signed QB Rhett Bomar, DE Hall Davis, DB Curtis Taylor
01/09/2012 Signed RB Rashawn Jackson
02/16/2012 Signed DB Brandon Underwood
03/16/2012 Signed CB Ron Bartell and G Mike Brisiel
03/27/2012 Signed DB Pat Lee
03/30/2012 Signed LB Philip Wheeler
04/12/2012 Signed TE Andre Hardy
04/07/2012 Signed DE Dave Tollefson
05/08/2012 Signed C Colin Miller
05/02/2012 Signed OL Ed Wang
05/01/2012 Signed QB Matt Leinart
04/20/2012 Signed WR Duke Calhoun
05/22/2012 Signed QB Kyle Newhall-Caballero
05/15/2012 Signed FB Owen Schmitt
06/12/2012 Signed TE Tory Humphrey
08/28/2012 Signed WR Roscoe Parrish
08/29/2012 DB Coye Francies claimed off waivers
09/01/2012 Claimed off waivers DB Phillip Adams, LB Keenan Clayton and T Willie Smith
09/03/2012 Signed CB Joselio Hanson |
That's 24 free agents signed last year
What you guys are missing is that 45 players under contract, including exclusive rights free agents. We need 90 for Training Camp. That means between the draft, resigning our free agents, and signing other teams free agents we need to bring in 45! players.
I'll bold the players who I actually forecasted we'd keep:
Quote: | Street FAs or scrubs:
Jordan Palmer QB- 1yr, .715m
Kevin O'Connell QB- 1yr, .715m
Benard Scott RB- 1yr, .715m
Deon Butler- 1yr, .715m
Chilo Rachal G- 1yr, .715m
David Buehler K- 1yr, .715m
Marcus Thomas DT- 1yr, .715m
Low Level FAs:
Keith Rivers OLB- 1yr, .715m
Quentin Groves- 1yr, .715m
Darius Butler- 2yrs/3M: 1.0, 1.0 with 1.0 SB.
Mid Level FAs:
Jared Cook- 2yrs/5.5m: 1.0, 2.5 with 2.0 SB.
Max Starks T- 2yr/6M: 2.5, 3.5.
Paul Kruger DE/OLB- 4yrs/16M: 1.0, 2.5, 3.5, 5 with 4.0 SB.
Glenn Dorsey DT- 2yrs/5.5M: 1.5, 2.5 with 2.0 SB.
Larry Grant- 2yrs/5m: 1.0, 2.0 with 2.0 SB.
Leodis McKelvin- 2yrs/6M: 1.0, 2.0 with 3.0 SB. |
That's only 10 free agents kept. If you have 45 openings they must be filled. I don't get the logic in saying "your signing too many free agents, wont happen." |

What people are saying is that there are too many "name" guys on there. And there are. It seems to be consensus with everyone here but you. So relent.
Same thing for the STL trade. Every mock on this forum and even in the mock forum has someone trading back with STL. It's because it's easy to look at their 2 1sts and say they can and will trade up. Don't bet on it. Especially when you have them mortgaging the farm for a LT prospect, in a trade that a team looking for a blue chip QB might do. Or an established team who has less of a pressing need to build through the draft. Which are the scenarios in which trades like that happen. Not this scenario. |

I like it all. Maybe Desmond truant at cb in the third? Kyle long is a beast. It all looks good though. _________________

Why so complicated? #3 = 2200 (#16 1000 + #22 780 + #48 420 = 2,200 exactly) The only rational being that with all the picks the Rams got from WASH in this draft and in the future they can justify this trade if they fell in love with someone. It doesn't have to be Joeckel but the Raiders need someone to really break out at the combine and create a ground swell.
Any mock draft that uses Kyle Long or Matheiu is played out. _________________
