OP is a Ravens fan. |
Fan of both teams................................................ |
Fan is a pretty generous label.... more of an onlooker of the two teams. _________________

| I don't have a problem with what Culliver said. I think that he is a little bit naive in thinking that there aren't any homosexuals on his team...but I am sure that a huge percentage of NFL players are uneasy about homosexuality. Our media is so PRO-homosexual now days that they almost give you a guilt trip for being straight. |

I don't really 'get' the whole wel it's his opinion get out of jail free card... what if it had been some sort of racial comment, is that still fine as long as he just says it? _________________

Can't say too much because of board rules but the type of comments that he made were the same type of comments aimed at people the same color as him many years ago.
I don't think the NFL should fine him however playing for San Francisco I presume he is not going to get a very good reception from the fans of his teams town.

Actually I would have a lot more respect for him if he had stood by what he said as abhorrent as it is.He didn't clarify it as such he merely took part in damage control.
Free speech is a wonderful thing (although it doesn't actually exist as pure free speech) but he works for an organisation that is (especially at this time) exposed to the media and who have an image to protect.
He enjoys making money from being part of that organisation and having his name linked with it so if he does get reprimanded by them then he needs to take it like a man. |

For the most part we did a pretty good job of staying respectful in here, but, per forum rules, this just isn't a topic we can discuss. _________________
