Bad news as Stuart Holden was on the wrong end of another harsh tackle, and forced to leave a reserve team game today |

That's awful. I feel bad for him. Hopefully nothing serious. _________________

So far it looks like GAM, Evans, Davis and Besler are in for Honduras. _________________

I like Brad Evans but I really don't think he's international quality. _________________

If he's called in, it's apparently to be Chandler's backup at RB due to Dolo's injury and Parkhurst not being match fit, which I don't really have a problem with. _________________

Agreed, doubt he gets on the pitch though. _________________

Not that I'm mad about it, but it's surprising beckerman isn't on that list. _________________

We just have so many CDM type players and Beckerman isn't one of the best among them. I'm not surprised tbh. _________________

I'd take Beckerman over Edu, IMO. _________________

Good to see the whole Chandler drama has gotten solved and he'll be cap tied for the US after this one.. not that Germany was going to call him up, but isn't the USMNT kind of short at FB at the moment due to injuries?
I'm going to try and follow the hex-round very closely this time around (caught most of the preliminary qualifiers).. as I've never followed US soccer very closely aside from in the actual big tournaments. Sadly, I could probably name A B & C squads for England but even regular starters for the US aren't household names for me quite yet - but this should change, and of course, US is obviously the first NT I root for in tournament settings.
Definitely pretty pumped for the Honduras match.. hope security is on the ball and nothing gets out of hand. _________________

Yeah the US was terribly weak at fullback recently but with Timmy Chandler, Eric Lichaj(even though he is never called up) and Fabian Johnson in addition to Cherundolo it is actually an area of strength now in my opinion. What worries me is how reliant we are on Bradley, without him we look uninventive and far from dangerous. Obviously CB is still the biggest issue. We really need Gonzalez to step up and claim a spot. _________________

We're not really short at FB, but Cherundolo is hurt and Parkhurst isn't really fit, but with Chandler there should be no drop off at all. We're set for the long haul with Chandler and Fabian at FB.
My guess for the starting XI.
