Meant to tell you but you weren't on when it was being discussed yesterday. We came to the consensus that we weren't sure and thought putting it to a vote if the details got ironed out was the best idea.
But it fell through anyways.

That seemed like a solid deal. Getting 2 good full time starters for a 1st rounder sounds good to me. Especially pro bowl talent like they both have.

That's only surface value. Mankins is likely in the twilight of his career, Harvin has injury/personality/longevity issues. I'd place Harvin's value individually at something like two 3rd round picks. Mankins, I would place at a 4th rounder. And then there's the difference in cost.....
As the AGM of a franchise that wishes to continue building organizational depth and deploy a strategy of sustainable winning....I would have said no.
(Unless we won a SuperBowl in the next two years, this deal would be all for not....)
