Glad someone finally took a chance with him, but the media annoys me in a sense with some of these French players acting as if Newcastle "discovered them out of nowhere".. Everyone has known about Sissoko, Yanga-Mbiwa, Debucy for some time, and generally the hype is let die down before they are finally let go by their parent clubs. The media seems to have a short attention span in these matters.
Do you guys foresee Mapou playing primarily in a midfield role until Coloccini goes? Also, Tiote is coming home - he scored today although CdI lost. _________________

They do that with any player outside of England who didn't play for a major major club. They did that with Santi too if I recall. _________________

This is true.. I remember hearing "Wenger's unearthed another gem" on MOTD which made me chuckle. Wenger is best at taking advantage of other clubs financial situations these days than 'unearthing gems', but given the economic climate that's probably not a bad thing as we've gotten two Spain internationals out of Malaga this year alone. _________________

Cheick Tiote arrested on fraud charges. Something to do with his car, I don't fully understand the situation, sucks for Newcastle though _________________

Looks like Tiote's still gonna line up against The Mentalist FC. Good news if you love useless shots from 35+ yards out. _________________

My old housemate tried to argue with me that no one had heard of Yohan Cabeye before. He was only captain of the French champions and had played about 15 times for his country. People! _________________

People said the same thing to me about Cazorla, Mata, and Silva.
Then again, I live in America... _________________

Yeah, most of these names are know in world football, then the British Media hypes them up after a few games and say they are amazing signings out of nowhere. _________________ Officially endorsed by Jon Dorenbos

Wouldn't have fancied being the policeman who told Tiote his car was being taken off him.

If I was Tiote, I'd take penalties with my head. _________________

I can't wait for them to do that with Lewandowski (if he goes to United which is doubtful). _________________
