Pretty classless to fire a major coach 2 days after recruiting IMO. _________________

Some of the players and new recruits are awfully pissed about this too. Almost as bad as firing the DB coach after most of your star DB recruits go EE and are already enrolled. |

Lane is too arrogant to let someone else call plays. |

With his seat as hot as it is, I wouldn't be surprised if he gives Tedford a call about the OC job. He knows the Pac-12 really well, is a good recruiter, and is one of the smarter offensive coaches in the country.
I just hope this means we won't throw fifty bubble screens a game this season. _________________

If anything we should have fired him a month ago and brought in Jeff Tedford which probably would've really helped us on the recruiting trail. I guess Lane had to make sure he could secure our four commitments before making the move. _________________

A lot of moves should have been made immediately after the season. So ridiculous. _________________

Lane Kiffin looks like he's in over his head more and more as time goes on. _________________

Adoree Jackson needs to be our number one priority for the 2014 class but we also desperately need to address our defensive line in next years class. We already have three really solid 4* OL committed in '14 which should allow us to focus on getting some bigger linebackers and quality defensive lineman committed. _________________

Agree. I don't really know how having a 4-3/3-4 hybrid will affect what we need, but definitely need DL depth and LBs to make sure the system runs smoothly. _________________

That's because he has no business being a head coach. _________________

I think if we can snag Adoree Jackson, the rest will follow. And hopefully those already committed that we have now will hold, unlike this year. _________________

I really think he should be a recruiting coordinator/assistant quarterback coach. He's a terrible game manager, play caller, can't make adjustments at halftime, and can't come up with an effective game plan. The thing that pisses me off is that we have three or four receivers that can stretch the field as well as two tight ends that can stretch the field and all we do every game is throw 15 bubble screens to Woods and 15 bubble screens to Lee against whoever we played. We were so predictable last season even with arguably the most talented offense in college football, it was ridiculous. _________________

I like how a year ago everybody in here loved Lane and now he's some sort of idiot. It's a hell of a lot easier to stretch the field when your OL can pass protect long enough for your receivers to get deep. _________________
