But you are telling me if they added 2+ Live Saturday events in actual arena's that they wouldnt be selling them out, or atleast close to it? Theres no way they wouldnt.
Any taped event isnt going to do amazing TV ratings, not in today's internet world. But SyFy wants it on Fridays, so it will be. |

I agree with the gist of the post earlier though. And Taped Ratings can draw well. Just that SD doesn't. I was just pointing out that SD would be better for not only ratings, but for the overall business as well. _________________

There were some absolutely genius concepts from the NWA/WCW days (stuff Vince effectively purchased the rights to when he bought WCW) that could be used to do a semblance of a "gimmick" PPV that wasn't quite "overly gimmicky" like some of devolved into. I mean hell, the Rumble is a Gimmick PPV in a sense.
But take for example, Lethal Lottery - you can build an entire PPV off that. You pull the WWE and the WHC champions out, have them have matches (preferably with guys they have currently standing feuds with - could be a good spot for a feud blow-off even). Have the final outcome be that the winner gets a top title shot at the next PPV (could be a good lead in to Survivor Series, unless they go back to an event of almost all traditional SS matches like they used to do - and which I doubt they'd do) and alternated between whether it's the WWE title or the BGB annually. You run qualifying matches during the lead-in weeks, but make it more like they're doing a terrible job with (primarily because Booker and Teddy can't sell this bit at all) the EC - you either earn your spot in the ring or you earn it some other way from the Powers the Be (gives the potential for some great matches in the go-home show of Face v. Face, Heel v. Heel, Tag Team Partner v. Tag Team Partner, Best Friend v. Best Friend where one gets in and one doesn't).
Then you devote most of the actual PPV to the Lethal Lottery Tournament, but you do it the way WCW did it, not the way TNA did it. You "re-draw" partnerships for each round as these are tag-team matches, leading into a final Fatal Fourway (preferably Four Corners Elimination, but time concerns could come up) for the title shot. This way the draw for the fans is new and potentially volatile partnerships with each passing match.
It also gives a ready-made #1 contender going into the following PPV for one of the two major titles without having to have a championship rematch or a #1 contenders triple threat or 4-way on RAW or Smackdown for who gets the next title shot. If you stagger this roughly with KOTR, you've got an opportunity to use the tournament as a means of creating several new storylines and feuds as well. _________________

I hate how it's always in LA. LA crowds not even good. They should have it in differrent venues. This is like the 3rd/4th straight time it's in LA. _________________

Not sure how you can hate Mysterio. I don't care for 2013 Rey Mysterio, but he used to be an exceptional wrestler. _________________

So, I found out that Netflix has all of the WWE documentaries on it; watched Rise and Fall of WCW and the CM Punk ones today. Looking at Stone Cold tomorrow and maybe Rise and Fall of ECW. _________________
