The niners have 14 picks?
And judging by the comments section, Goldfishwars does not like this mock one bit. |
Yup. 14 draft picks and very few needs. We're very likely to trade up or out of this draft (for future picks). It's very unlikely 14 rookies make the team.
Edit- Also, the Eddie Lacy pick is horrible. Gore's our guy for at least one more year and we still have 2 other good back-ups behind him. |
Trade up to #3, take Star, make your defence even more ridiculous, and help your Bay neighbours rebuild with your many picks! WIN-WIN. |
Take Alex off of our hands so we have to give you fewer picks. _________________

So much wrong with this... The standouts to me are.....
Eagles taking a CB at #4.
Browns massively reaching for Patterson over Jarvis Jones
Bengals selecting a WR
Packers selecting any TE before the 4th round.
Jonathan Cooper at #10? Are you kidding me? _________________ Come Follow My Oakland Multi-Sport Franchise! |

By far the worst and unrealistic mock iv seen from a so called 'expert'. Kills me to think this joker gets employed from the actual NFL and we are subject to reading this opinion _________________

With the # of teams that need a QB I got to think at least 1 or 2 get picked in Round 1. _________________ Hey there, Blimpy Boy, flying through the sky so fancy.. free.. |

To be honest, I wouldn't mind Ertz or Eifert in round one depending on who is available.
Looking at what we need positional wise:
RB-Lacy is not a better player than either of those guys.
WR-I really don't want a round one WR when we have three good WR's on the roster.
OL-Our only hole here is at center, where we have to add competition for the guy that finished last year out. EDS played very well for us. If you want to say OT, I'll have to disagree. That position for the Pack was decimated by injuries and we've spent two first round picks there recently. Newhouse is good enough and will be pushed by Sherrod this offseason. Bulaga is a very good RT, and Barclay came off the bench as a UDFA and played well enough.
DL-I could see us taking one, simply because of the upcoming expiring contracts on CJ Wilson and Ryan Pickett, along with the fact Worthy hurt his knee late in the year(it looks minor as of now, but we will see what happens). But the major question - who is going to be available?
LB- Unless Ogletree is there, I would absolutely hate picking any type of LB in the first round(unless a quality pass rusher falls, I guess).
DB- What safety after Vaccaro(who wont be there at 26) is worth a first round pick? If a good CB prospect falls, great, but again, who?
The pick for me would come down to Ertz, Short, Trufant, Banks and Okafor. Short/Ertz fit needs IMO. A well-rounded TE for the Packers would be a great thing IMO. _________________ @PJHotel_ |

That's the real fail of this draft. Mingo going third overall was quite comical, but two OGs in the Top 10 is LOL funny. I dare anyone to find me the last time an OG was selected (as an OG) in the top 10 in the draft, let alone two. It just doesn't happen. NFL teams don't value that position as highly as other positions. _________________

we have 11 draft picks.
14 is assuming 3 comp picks which isnt happening. we will probably only get 1 4th or 5th _________________ ***WE RUN THE WEST!***

yeah that mock makes no sense to me. He basically just made a big board and matched teams to needs.
No way two guards go top ten. [inappropriate/removed] I'd be surprised if any of them go top 15. Stat won't fall outside the top 6 let alone top 10 and there is no way 0 QB's go in the first round. |

See the funny thing about these mocks coming out based on sources are really based on nothing at all. Most NFL Front Offices have not even begun their long sit down process of putting their board together debating player X for player Y, sitting in a room with scouts and getting their opinion on player X, then getting the opinion of another personnel guy to corroborate or refute what the other guy sees.
These processes take a long while and they don't start until after the combine. So basically anything right now based on a teams board is false. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's
