About where he was last year as well, so not really changing much.
The second bold. Are you and him personal friends? _________________

Last year? Sure. But consistency has to count for something. He's second in the American League in WAR over the past two years. He's third in the American League in WAR over the past three years. He's third in the American League in WAR over the past four years. Looking just at what these guys did in 2012 is shortsighted. I doubt you had Felix outside the top-5 last year.
Not to mention, CC's FIP and ERA were way inflated last year by a fluky 12% HR/FB rate (he's never been above 10% in his career). His strikeout rate was near a career high. His walk rate was also a career best. His groundball rate was the second highest it has been since 2005. So there was some bad luck involved - his xFIP beat Verlander, beat Kershaw, and equaled Felix. His skills really haven't deteriorated at all and since 2007 he's literally the most valuable pitcher in baseball - ahead of Verlander, ahead of Halladay, ahead of Felix, ahead of Kershaw, ahead of Lincecum... you get the idea. So I have a very, very hard time buying a guy like RA Dickey or even really talented pitcher like Chris Sale ahead of him. _________________

I was with you until you said he's the most valuable pitcher in baseball.
I would have him somewhere around 3-4, though. _________________

I think you need to re-read that sentence. I said since 2007 he's been the most valuable pitcher in baseball, not that he is the most valuable pitcher in baseball today. I think that's a fair statement. He leads all big league pitchers in fWAR over the past six years. He's led baseball twice (2007, 2008) and also led the American League once (2011). And he's never been lower than 12th despite pitching in homer-happy Yankee Stadium. How many pitchers have pitched that many innings, that consistently over the past half dozen years? None. The only guy who comes close (since Halladay just had a pretty bad year and Verlander had a couple of them) is Felix. But back in 2007 and 2008, when Sabathia was the best pitcher in baseball, Felix wasn't the same guy he is now.
I agree with you though. I have him third and I can see an argument for putting Price in the top-3 over CC. _________________

Fister >> Sanchez, injuries or not. Second best pitcher in the Tigers rotation imo, although Scherzer is a stud as well. _________________

Eh, outside of 2011 they are roughly equals. There is something to be said for Sanchez's consistency and durability. _________________
