Folk has been solid. Wish he had a bit more leg strength but his accuracy is pretty good. _________________

| Great sign. The O is going to be bad so you better have a kicker that can make 45 on in 80% or better. |

I don't get this re-signing at all, the guy had his best season in 4 years [since 2008] with get this... 77.8 FG kicking percentage, 77.8 is the best he had in 4 years!
How does he keep getting re-signed? the Jets can surely do better than him can't they? _________________

A lot of his misses were blocked field goals, our entire special teams unit was terrible no matter what they were doing.
Though I do agree with you, when they brought Josh Brown in I thought they'd sign him. He has a pretty strong leg. _________________

It's important to understand the number, rather than just know it.
He missed six kicks last season. Three were blocked, and one miss was from beyond 50. I know a miss is still a miss, but he was pretty efficient last year when given a realistic chance to succeed. |

He missed 6 FGs last season. 3 of those misses were by virtue of blocks. 2 of the other 3 misses came on FGs of 50+ yards. _________________

Just saying, he seems average at best... the Jets can probably do better. |
which is why he continues to get 1-year deals and competition in training camp. There's no largely better FA waiting out there. _________________

Without knowing the details, blocked kicks CAN be the fault of the kicker sometimes, whether that be timing or trajectory. I honestly don't know what the case is here. Just something to keep in mind. How would you categorize folks blocks? _________________

I won't be sorry when the Ravens finish 8-8. |

Poor special teams as I said, not his fault. We just let guys through. _________________

Yeah the blocks were bad. Complete missed assignments on two of them. Not really on Folk.
He's an average kicker. Not bad, not great. It's a fine re-signing considering the deal. _________________

Cool. Sounds kind of familiar, but I honestly couldn't remember. _________________
