Look guys, we dont have to head into this off season realistically thinking we're going to plug every hole and get contribution from everyone we bring in. Of course the Lions should strive for that and have that mentality, but this is the real world.

We should be able to bring guys in that will contribute and be factors in the future of this team. I for one do not expect the Lions to contend for the playoffs next year. If they make some right moves in the offseason, i think they have the talent and coaches to do it, but as far as chemistry and working as a cohesive unit, i dont see it happening until towards the end of the season, where it would then to be too late to make the playoffs.

Lions 7-9 in 2007, still have a lot of work to do. If we dont get that playmaking Safety, that dominant Right Tackle, or that franchise Quarterback this off season, theres always next next year. Theres still guys like Kenny Phillips from Miami, Jake Long from Michigan and maybe Brian Brohm wont declare this year, he'll be there next year.

Thanks for the heads up but the city of Detroit has been "waiting" for about 5 years and has seen no improvement. I agree we should give Marinelli 5ish years to get HIS guys in there and let him do his things (unless he's ungodly terrible, See Art Shell).

Bring who here, who wants to play for a team that has gone 24-73 over the past five seasons.
