I like Clinton so I wouldn't mind him but the Southeast Jerome & Roy Williams interviews would probably make the Lions season more interesting.

What?

Shaun is a good DT just needs the right push, and to lay off the illegal drugs.

Southeast Jerome is one of the characters Portis plays in his interviews. I think its the basis of most of his interviews if I remember right. I just live in Marquette right now, I had to take some time off from NMU it was costing me to much.

Ahh i see, I live about an hour and a half south of Marquette.

That trade won't and shouldn't happen. Dominating DTs are hard to find, and Rbs grow on trees. I don't think Roger's attitude is as bad as people think. I think the media just portrays him as having a bad attitude because
1) the media ALWAYS wants to make an athlete look bad rather than good
and
2) Rogers dosn't like talking to the media so they like to make him sound like a bad person

I think portis has more upside than rogers. He is a feature back in the NFL
1. Shaun Rogers could be the best DT in the game if he stayed clean and learned to work a little
2. Kevin Jones is the future of the lions, yes he is hurt, but hey so was portis for most of the year.

Know if Clinton Portis was a right and left guard we could talk a little

The cap hits for both teams would make this trade unlikely.

This trade MAKES NO sense. Why would we have two RB that would make a combined salary of like 14 or 15 million $$ a year and get ride off and Elite DT; we'd have a HUGE whole in the DL.

INSANE!!

Rogers has nothing left here. He really doesnt have a good future left with Detroit.

Maybe, Redding and Cody still not bad, if i remember Louisville has a 19 year old DT that could be around for some time.

Oh man would I love to see Clinton suitin up for the Lions, and then we draft Joe Thomas to block.

I just like the fact that Portis is consistent when he runs the ball. He gets those hard yards as well.

I would personally Love to get Portis even it does cost Shaun Rogers. Shaun Cody looked good when he played and so did Redding. Just one thing if it does happen we have to draft Thomas to block for him.

Yeah, drafting Clinton Portis would almost guarantee us drafting Joe Thomas. Also, we might consider a DT in the second round if we trade Shaun Rogers away. Still I think that it would be an exciting move this offseason (if it were to happen).

Enough crazy talk, it makes no sense and i can't see rod trading our most talented defensive linemen/defensive player for a runningback not named LT
