The Bears let the market set the value of a lot of their free agents this offseason. Some guys were re-signed, some guys weren't. They seemed comfortable with refusing to pay more than they had to for players they felt could be replaced for less money.
Idonije didn't really come on until 2010 when the Bears let Alex Brown go. Before that he was a rotational guy. He also racked up quite a few blocked field goals and even covered kicks, somewhat-famously knocking out Darren Sproles on the opening kickoff of Bears/Chargers 2007 season opener. Dave Toub even used him as a punt gunner occasionally. _________________

Decent depth signing here for the Lions. Good for them. _________________ I bought one of those tapes to teach you Spanish in your sleep. During the night, the tape skipped. Now I can only stutter in Spanish.

On my phone so dont have a link but guess he signed for vet minimum. Like this pick up more and more. Now all he has to do is sack cutler. |

Interesting signing. Looks like we'll have to wait and see if it turns out for the best. |

He's basically an experienced backup who adds depth to our defensive line. Decent player.
Edit: Some notable stats: He recorded 20.5 sacks throughout the last three years combined (an average of 7 per year), managed 6 forced fumbles in that span, and even scored a touchdown in 2011 from a fumble recovery.
Pretty decent stats from a player we'll probably end up using as a rotational guy |
