ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on NFL Insiders that the Patriots are "putting out feelers" about available tight ends.
Jacob Tamme, Clay Harbor, and Tony Moeaki are just a few names that could be available. Whether the Patriots' interest in tight ends has anything to do with their expectations on Rob Gronkowski's (back surgery) recovery is impossible to say. It's also possible they're not pleased with Daniel Fells and Jake Ballard behind Zach Sudfeld. The Boston Herald reported Monday that Gronk remains "right on schedule" for a return in mid-September.

We've already discussed in the KC forum the possibility of trading Moeaki to NE. Moeaki is currently 3rd on our depth chart because he missed OTA's for some "personal reasons" and because our rookie Kelce looks pretty good. _________________ Sigbet with El Ramster; OKC wins title = I win. They can have Shiancoe if they want. Again.
Another reason the Ravens can't let Matt Furstenburg hit the waiver wire. Bellicheck and Brady would turn him into a star in about ten minutes. _________________

Why would the Broncos trade Tamme? |

I'm actually pretty surprised they haven't brought David Thomas in for a look. |

He was with the Patriots for a long time [was drafted in the third round by them before they traded him to you guys] and i think there was a reason he was traded... not enough athletic ability for the system probably.
Question is, why no other team took a look at him either? _________________

I've got no clue, why the Saints let him go in the first place I don't know either. I really liked him, he fit our system well, cost very little, and was a great locker room guy. |

I feel like the Patriots will pick up at least one of the TEs that the Jets cut next week. |

If that's the scale we're using, the Bengals will trade you Gresham for two 1sts... |

Didn't New England so desperately try to sign every available FA last year? What happened with that?
Anyways, I think the KC Tight End would be a very good fit. _________________

Gronk - injured, likely back by october
Hernandez - as close to Tony Montana as Brady is to Joe.
Ballard - broken
Fells - bad
Hoomanawanui - blocker, probably dragged off by wolves.
Shiancoe - Injured and awful, now a ... Raven?
Sudfeld - Rookie UDFA, looks decent
Considering the Chiefs are close to done with Moeaki, I'd say throwing them a late/conditional pick would be fine. |
