The NFL fined Titans safety George Wilson for a horse-collar tackle in last Saturday’s game against the Bengals. He said he plans to appeal.

Wilson wouldn’t reveal the amount of the fine, but when asked if it was $15,000, he indicated it was dead on.

During a week that saw Robert Griffin III fined $10,000 by the NFL for wearing unauthorized apparel -- namely, his on-the-nose "Operation Patience" garb -- the Washington Redskins quarterback wasn't the only player with a league-mandated manila envelope stuffed into his locker:

» Houston Texans defensive back Brandon Harris was fined $21,000 for unnecessary roughness for hitting a defenseless player in the head and neck during a 24-17 win over the Miami Dolphins, a league source told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport on Friday.

» Dallas Cowboys cornerback Micah Pellerin was fined $15,750 for unnecessary roughness during last Friday's 19-17 loss to the Oakland Raiders, per Rapoport.

» New York Giants cornerback Aaron Ross was fined $7,785 for grabbing Colts receiver Reggie Wayne by the facemask in Sunday night's 20-12 loss to Indianapolis, a league spokesman confirmed to NFL.com and NFL Network on Friday.

» We already knew about Jon Bostic's slap on the wrist. Rapoport confirmed Wednesday the Chicago Bears rookie linebacker was fined $21,000 for lowering his head against a defenseless player. That came during a pile-driving tackle of second-year Chargers wide receiver Mike Willie.
