Are you kidding me? I know our depth isn't great, but the OL was the one spot we really could not afford any injuries. Jeez...

Dunlap vs Ware isnt a good matchup to begin with, I hate to think who the backup is

Is anybody a good matchup against Ware?

The backup is the guy who was starting at LT last year.

The difference is that this year, we have a good RT, and a solid blocking TE, so we can give him actual help, and not have to worry much about the other side, and the help we give him will be very good.

Just to note, last game when he went in, he actually looked very good in pass pro, was weak in the run game, but in pass pro, he didn't give up much pressure or anything.

It is not really diss and it is fairly accurate.

Dallas offense isn't complex and if you hit Romo, he will get rattled......which is the same for every starting QB in the NFL.

A defender saying that a QB gets rattled when he gets pressured? SO DISRESPECTFUL

That being said I expect the Cowboys to not only win but absolutely throttle the Chargers. The Bolts'O - especially with the injuries on the line - do not match up well against the Dallas defense. And they sure as hell aren't going to stop the Cowboys' passing game from torching the secondary all game long.

Looks like Troutman is getting the start with Clary out at guard.......hopefully he plays well and keeps the job for the rest of the season.

Chargers re-signed G/T Steve Schilling and waived ILB Terrell Manning.
Schilling was San Diego's sixth-round pick out of Michigan in 2011. Manning was claimed off waivers from the Packers ahead of Week 1.

Here's your depth at G. Hope he sticks over Clary.

Chargers waived RB Fozzy Whittaker.
Whittaker had a strong preseason, but fell behind Danny Woodhead and Ronnie Brown for backup duties and was being used strictly on special teams. With both RG Jeromey Clary (clavicle) and LT King Dunlap (concussion) not expected to play this week, the Chargers have signed OL Nick Becton off their practice squad.

Becton got handled in the preseason. Harris is Harris. The good news is that Fluker is back, and Clary won't be there to mess things up worse.

Going by the depth chart, the line will look like this

LT - Harris
LG - Troutman
C - Hardwick
RG - Ohrnberger
RT - Fluker

Swing T - Becton
Swing G - Schilling

Ohrnberger is also Harwick's backup.

Who will return kickoffs? I'm guessing Woodhead, but he's a pretty important part of the team, would hate to see him get injured.

That offensive line looks pretty ugly. I have not liked what I've seen from Ohrnberger and Harris plays soft. I'm expecting Phillips to be a de facto sixth o-lineman, which will put pressure on our receivers to get separation quickly. Needless to say, I don't have many warm, fuzzy feelings about this one unless Rivers puts on a hero performance.

Royal, Marshall, and Gihchrist have all returned kicks. Allen returned a couple in the preseason. Woodhead is the most likely candidate since he's back there most of the time with Fozzy.

The only good thing that can come from this outside of Rivers staying upright is Troutman playing well and moving Clary's [inappropriate/removed] to the bench for good.

An inkling of hope for our defense:
Quote:
Miles Austin (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 4 at San Diego.
We don't want to sound overly ominous, but Austin's past hamstring woes make us worry this injury will torpedo his fantasy value for several weeks, if not the season. Austin is worth hanging onto as an injured WR5, but nothing more in fantasy leagues. Terrance Williams is going to get starts as a third-round rookie. Dwayne Harris and Cole Beasley will also see far more snaps. Look for Dez Bryant and Jason Witten to be target monsters Sunday at Qualcomm.

Yeah, who am I kidding? Just means a bigger day for Dez against our zone.

As voted on by members in the Thursday Night Football GDT, The LBC will be expressing himself in the form of Doc Holliday gifs to honor our Cowpoke guests.

This OL held together with duct tape, week old spit, and other unmentionables scraped off the back of my toilet is actually managing to hold up.

Then again, we're the Chargers... this game isn't even worth monitoring till the 4th quarter.
