It comes down to the beginning of the game. If Philly can score points early, it will be more competitive. If they go three and out or don't score and Denver does, it won't be as close, IMO.

If the Eagles score it will be competitive but if we don't score and the Broncos score it won't be close.

That's some impressive insight, I never would have thought of that.

Razz

Lol you know what I'm saying. If Philly comes out hot, thats something Denver hasn't seen yet. When Denver is able to get a big lead though, things usually spiral.

Eh, if the Eagles come out hot they'll probably simmer off. They won't start hot and finish hot. Billy Davis won't adjust, guaranteeing the defense falls apart after half time if it isn't already falling apart in the first half.

This is how you're supposed to play QB:

Notice how Peyton is already deciding to throw the ball even though Demaryius Thomas isn't even open? Notice there isn't really any separation yet?

This throw went for a touchdown because Peyton anticipated the coverage, and the route, and put the ball where it needed to be.

Some QBs don't need to see a wide-open receiver or clear separation in order to make throws.

Poor decision,

The throw he should have made was to the left slot, who already had him beat

So what about all the bombs to DeSean Jackson? You're telling me that Vick doesn't ever throw the ball before a receiver gets open?

And BTW, Peyton Manning is one of the greatest of all-time, so if most teams compare their QB to Regular Season Peyton Manning then most of the time they are going to be disappointed by comparison.

I believe there is a stat that Peyton Manning only has a .500 record in games where he is sacked 3 times or more. Peyton Manning is a guy who gets the ball out of his hands, but in games where teams have gotten pressure on him, he has looked more than human.

Just like Eli Manning has and Big Ben have this year. Vick has had crap Oline's for most of his career.

BTW, Vick was DUE for a bad game.

The positive thing for the Eagles is that Peyton Manning is DUE for a bad game with 12 TDs and ZERO interceptions

Hopefully that bad game comes vs the Eagles and not against the Cowboys which would give them another edge.

Check the vid in the link, especially on that comeback route. Wow.

The perfect comparison to Peyton Manning if the Spurs didn't choke in basketball this year would be LeBron James.

Greatest Regular season players of all-time. Absolute students of the game, masters of their craft, and just off the charts production. But more failures than successes in the post-season.

Some may say why go basketball in Miami when there's the football comparison of Marino?

But the thing about Marino is that as great as he was, Peyton Manning was greater in the regular season. And despite how Marino came up short in the post-season he didn't have the epic failures like Manning did.

Can't trash either, they're both great and both champions. I root for a team that hasn't won anything since 1960.

Foles on his first throw last year in a regular season showed better anticipation than Vick ever had.
