Absolutely horrible news to learn of. My thoughts and best wishes are with the Peterson family.

@keloland
The young child remains in critical condition.

Peterson will make a statement after practice.

You're taking what he said too literally. He's just expressing his anger over something disgusting and tragic. I'd be willing to bet every guy that read this story had the same two thoughts initially.

1. I hope his son is okay
2. I hope someone beats the hell out of his guy

I mean, what could have set him off like that?

Umm...craziness? As disturbing as this is, Ive heard of worse things, and way to often than Id like.

If anyone ever did that to my kid, lets just say id probably end up in prison.

Seriously, in cases like this, instead of prison, the attacker should just be put in a room with the parents, a pair of pliers and a blow torch.

Rolling Eyes

Thoughts to Peterson and his family. Awful thing to have happened.

not sure what the rolling eyes are for but i agree with mafia. no prison for people like that. in this case should just be tied to a chair and let the parents come in. or at the very least old yeller him. dont see people any better then a bad dog. put him down.

really hope the kids ok. hope he is stable, if hes not and AD is back with the team i dont think i can look at him the same.

Maybe it's just me, but the justice system should be held to a higher moral standard than allow the alleged assailant to be attacked with a pair of pliers and a blow torch.

never said the alleged. i was talking about the person who did it. the putting him down is for society, the torture is for the parents. they can refuse if they want.

It's a little sadistic to suggest the parents torture the guy who beat their kid. It's unforgivable but the family needs prayers more than blowtorches right now...

Disgusting. Beating any child is WRONG and to do this shows a level of depravity that deserves a long prison sentence.
