As expected. If he can push the ball down the field to Jennings and Simpson & crew, and get that box opened up a little bit more for 28, that offense is immediately in better shape. Let's just see if Freeman can get the ball down there.

Dont forget about Kyle Rudolph. He has been more productive since Cassel entered the lineup, Ponder struggled throwing the ball with zip in the middle of the field, which limited Rudolph. Rudolph had a huge game last week with Cassel, who has a stronger arm.

I think Rudolph is going to benefit having a QB like Freeman over Ponder. There is no doubt that MN has the weapons for a QB to have success, and this without even making mentioning Jarius Wright and Cordarrelle Patterson.

The Oline looked poor when Ponder was under center, but surprisingly has played much better with Cassel. Could be in part to Cassel being more poised in the pocket and more decisive with the ball than Ponder was. hopefully Freeman will be aggressive, for better or worse.

expectations should be minimal for the first month but hopefully by his 7th or 8th start, we can see where he truly is at in this offense. certainly, if Freeman plays well, MN has a young QB they could possibly build around in 2014 and focus on improving what has become a very bad defense.

His numbers should be back to normal now that he isn't throwing the ball to the awful Doug Martin.

No way man. Nothing is worse than Webb. Don't even go there.

He threw multiple passes straight up into the air to avoid sacks.. in a playoff game no less.

I repeat. Nothing is worse than Joe Webb at Quarterback.

If I were to give a statline:

Freeman goes 27/40, 256 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs

Not bad for a losing effort.

I don't think supporting cast has anything to do with it Confused AP's an upgrade buy you're hugely underselling Martin and Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams are legit and Tampa's defense is stingy. I like Tampa's supporting cast more if I'm a QB.

everyone on FF has wronged vikes22 in someway, it seems.

I have mixed feelings on tonight. The Giants should win handily, but this is the kind of game where the Vikings troll everyone and somehow win.

That said, they'll probably lose.
