Like you said, this team, with as bad as we've been the last 4 weeks, we're still in great position.
IF we can realize that we need to establish the run game early, we can compete in games. The key is for us to work on getting first downs early. Build momentum. The amount of 3-and-outs over the last month has been atrocious. That falls on Pep's shoulders. His preparation seems to be lacking.
And Robert Mathis is probably the least talked about legit DMVP candidate i've ever seen. He's got a realistic chance at breaking Mr. Strahan's sack record, needing only 8 more through 5 games to tie the record. Guess that's what happens when you play "second fiddle" (in most people's eyes) most of your career. |
I just cant imagine that we wont hear some hot seat reports on Pep coming up, maybe even this week. If we lay another egg against TEN, then all hell well break loose.
Mathis is having a tremendous season, also Im not sure to what degree but Hali and Houston went down with injuries today, so those are 2 major competitors in DPOY....
Hopefully we can start playing with some leads and he will be able to get after the other teams QB.
Not sure of DPOY rankings at this point
Mathis
Burflict?
Hali
Houston
